  1. In the end i couldn't be arsed, and went back to mod. If you want 380mm chainstays then go for it.

    [edit]

    380mm chainstays, not 180mm :S

The chainstays on the 116mm bikes are 377mm anyways.... do you mean theres only a 3mm difference bewteen them If i run an 18/14 ratio.

I was playing with 18/13 today... class (Y)

  2. hey aaron....long time no speak! You coming over to fort bill this year?

Why not try running a 17:14 or something similar? change the cog on the front to suit your ratio?

I had 18:16 on my bike, when i had horizontal dropouts, but you must have man legs to be able to power that ratio

Hi Ben, I'll be there rain or shine

I'm still on the 05 pitbull .... it seems to still work really well for me. (big ratios + big legs = big moves) :shifty:

I'm cautious to move away from what i'm used to (low BB) '05 geometry; incase it messes my riding style

I've got a 108.9 18th up front and am reluctant to change it (£££)

I might just have to buy the frame and experiment! I'd need at least 18/14 = 1.29:1 or 18/13 = 1.38

How come you got rid of yours? I take it you are riding elite this year as always??

  3. Hi guys - just wondering if anyone has heard of a 116mm pitbull or echo control running an 18/14 or 18/13 gear ratio rather than the manufacturer recommended 18/15.

I find 18/15 a bit light - wouldnt mind swaping to a horiz dropout 26" to get rid of the chain tensioner... and a bit of weight, not to mention a predictable drivechain woes!

    thanks in advance

  4. dont like to point out the obvious - but what if they didnt do well?

It would really curb their enthusiasm if they got a shit result >_<

Comps are a world apart from street - and being able to make decent videos.

Personally - i think a lack of desire to ride in competitions for guys that are good at a specific area of the sport is to do with them already being overly satisfied - "knowing they are the best at what they do".

And not needing to prove themselves anymore than what they have to.

Also - its easy not to bother when you know you have no chance at coming close to savage/hyland/slinger/walker etc......

I'm not supprised if being shit scared of a bad result puts them off competiting altogether.

  5. Thought the riding was pretty good - At least there were no ashton spinning BMX tricks etc.... :P

Music was ok until 23 secs....

Music reminds me of damons video 2 (N)

Better editing and soundtrack needed though.........

More chilled and less - i want to kill myself 'death metal'

    nice one

  6. Some good pics there! (Y)

Hows that Mirror rim? Any good?

Its just the same as any another try-all rim in terms of performance.

Its alot darker than i would have thought......the pics on tryall.com make it out to be more of a bright chrome finish.

    pretty good though......pimp :deej:

thanks for taking the piccies Brisatrials (Y)

  7. f**k going out and getting pissed when your young, you've your whole life to do that, go out and ride in the cold while you still can without stiffening up like a board....

Jake just hit the f**kin nail on the head (Y)

You wont be able to do trials when your old and have a mortgage! :D

The police wont follow it up - for 1, they could'nt be bothered and its a waste of police time.

I think everyone is just winding you up
