  1. This is my new bt 8.0.

I got the frame two dayes ago and today i rode it for the first time.

First of all, i wanted to tell you how great was the service i got from the main man at bt-RAFAL! after 20 e-mails and a color change, he turned out to be a great guy with a lot of patience. every thing came packed nicely and safe as i was told.

So rafal, this is a B I G thank you from me to you.

This is not my first bt (i had a 6.0) and as long as i can tell-not the last.

The frame feels great and classic with big gaps and bunny- hops. it is perfect for me, not too long, yet, not too short.WB is 1075.

    The spec:

King head-set and hubs in red

    Fatty fork

    EASTON handle-bar 710 wide

    Specialized 90 m"m stem

Salsa front rim on DT revolution spokes

Planet-X BMF rear rim on DT competition spokes

MAXXIS moabster 2.5 tire on the rear

    Michelin HOT-S 2.5 as a front tire

    TRUE-VATIVE stylo ISIS cranck with 22 T

    MAGURA hs 33 rim brakes

  2. Try to force some cooked oil inside the gap (to low the clicking sound volume down) and insted of welding , try to use a 5 m"m nut and screw. If you grind it (the bolt's head) nicely and paint it black it will hardly be noticed, and press everything tight in order to avoid you from riding with that MP3 :D . Good luck...

  3. I know about this problem. I'm a bike mechanic and i have seen it before on the same echo forks. does the steerer tube only got weld on the lower crown? If it does- its the same as my frind's bike. echo told him its no problem. on cannondale's fatty's there is no weld - just plain good press fit. I Konw it can drive you crazy. Ask echo to send you MP3. Its cheap in china. (so you can listen to your favorit music insted..)

  4. Hi.

It's a grimeca XT (they made shimano the first twin cylinder xt brake). it's nice and has two pistons on each side and filled with dot 4 brake fluid/ It's five years old and as new. Oh, and its red too...

  5. This is my new bike, and i rode it today for the first time. my question is: will it be more right to use a high rise stem? my other bike was +20 frame with 1050 WB and 390 CS.

This bike has +38 bb 1065 WB and shorter 375 chain stays. in order to overcome the gap of the higer bb of this frame i rose the stem in about the same Xtra 18 m"m but to my oppinion it feels the same. i'm 1.68 meter. what can you advise me?

  6. yum yum yum lush yum yum yum

that is soo nice whats the spec n colours of rest of your bike going to be?

My parts are mostly red so it will be nice contrast to the green frame.

KING hubs and head-set, a race face cranck, fatty forX etc.

  7. hmm the bt is ok i guess, nice to ride for street etc, but they are fairly heavy :((N)

also running a 47mm wide rear im can be tricky depending on your crank setup.

    ...About that 47 mm rim:

I understand that's because of the Xtra width - the crank hits the magura's slave cylinder. is that right?

So, in other words, you say that frame is a bit old school isn't it? they dont use 38 mm rear rims this days any more...

  8. Thanks mates! (Y)

    What about the geo?

What am i going to loose or gain with a higer bb? plus, i want the new frame to be a bit longer than my alibongo. will the 1065 +45 bb bt act and feel longer than the alibongo or it will not feel longer? is the 1100 frame is too long for me in a way that i will not be able to do the same bunyy-hops or gaps?

Sorry about all those questions but i see that you know a thing or two about geos of trials frames.

  9. I was so damm lucky. i rode this fork a few months ago and gone back to my good-old fatty r's. 2 weeks ago i got the chance to sell it (the woodman) to some-one with a planet-x pitbull (bomb-proof cr-mo trial-street frame). it didnt last a week under that fork-nazi street rider :S . he told me that he was just riding along doin' 180 pivot on the front when it snapped. thank's god it wasn't me!!! any way the boy is ok. his face's still in a mint condition.... :D

Dece... It's an odd place to snap, they usually go at the steerer and if not, at the welds.

...Its in the brakes welds... he had an 8" disk-brake rotor. maybe too big to that fork?
