  1. WOW  Whats the full spec and weight?

Rockman Björn frame, rockman forks, bar, stem, rims, cranks, front hub. Reset ti bb, chris king headset and rear hub, hope tech rear brake, mono trial carbon in front, rainbow coloured ti spokes in rear and (soon) in front wheel. ti and alu bolts throughout.

This bike is about 180 grams more than my previous bike (haven't built front wheel with ti spokes yet and 145 grams heavier frame) so that should be around 7,2 kgs :)

  2. i might be somewhat partial:P but natural comps is what it´s made for! and i guess it was my bike you tried? with rockman forks the WB is 1013mm and not 1025mm as stated on tarty with some other fork.. i also got the bike you tried for sale 4 months used with loads of new parts on..

  3. Yes, Trialbikes.com is a Spanish shop.

And although I don't want to defend the shop for the fact it's Spanish, I don't think they've measured it wrong in order to lie people, they don't have to. I don't know the conditions this was done, maybe Trialero_Nerja knows them, he has a closer relationship with the boss of Trialbikes.com

In any case, remember this frame is the new one, it's lighter than the white one, it now weights 1'290 kg Frame

i know the frame is 1290 grams.. mine is still 200g lighter:D

  4. I hate to break it to you, but it's unlikely any 2 of the same components are exactly the same weight.

Also, it sounds like you're guessing the weights of your parts. At the end of the day, the scale doesn't lie (unless they've set the zero wrong), that is the weight of that bike and that's that. There's no hidden anti mass rim tape hidden in it.

The reason why i say my rear tire is about 60g lighter is of that reason, i know for a fact i shaved my tire 60 grams, but i don´t know how much the tire on the ozonys wheight..

    so no guessing here...

my point beeing though that there is no way this bike makes up for a 200 gram heavier frame, 110 gram bash, 120 gram spokes, 60 gram rear tyre just by getting lucky with a component that is slightly lighter that the ones i got..

belive me when i say i have built some fancy bikes that on this level a couple of hundred grams is not easy to find...

  5. I Saw your bike @ Facebook and there are lighter parts than yours:

    Front tyre

    Hope lever blades?

    FW system with titanium FW

    Rear hub

    Both rims

    Pedals

    Grips

    Cranks

    Stem

If your bike have tryall forks- echo sl is more lighter

    :shifty:

Ofcourse i have carbon leverblades.. My front tire is lightened about 60 grams, front rim about 50 grams and rear about 45 grams. fw system that he has is 38 grams lighter than my setup, pedals about 30 grams lighter.. grips?!

im no math genius but it still does not make up for it, where talking abut 400 grams that is lost somewhere...

  6. Lightest bike in trial-bikes.com. no more to say haha

Would like to think that there is more to say, since i just built myself a bike based on a frame that is +200 grams lighter than the ozonys curve V2, with similar or better components and mine is 6.99 ( i also use the park tools scale )

From what i can see the only thing i got on that is heavier is the rockman 165mm cranks and the rockman 3d 20" stem. On the definitely lighter side is a +200 gram lighter frame, the same rear tire with 60g shaved of, ti spokes witch is about 60 grams lighter than steel, only tt ti half bash so no bashplate +110 gram, lighter rear disc... that´s like 430 grams in the lighter side, vs about 60 grams on the heavier side.. so where is the other 400 grams taken from?

So feel free to explain this to me?

  7. i would still say that there is way less modifications to weaken/lighten parts than on most other light builds. Only modifications is the rim sidewalls and i little bit on the king axle...

  8. post-6137-081619800 1276934058_thumb.jpg

borrowed the bb from my stock and put the race wheels on:) (frame color is not final, testing out a new anodizing finish and also there is tractor graphics on this frame:P )

looks neat with countersunk 15mm m6 ti bolts and alu washers. ti spokes with alu nipples. rockman hub and rims. ck bmx/disc hub in the rear.

  9. I really dont see how you got it to 7.59kg

I need to know the spec pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease

you will see the spec, finishing up the race wheels any day now and then getting the ti bb in a few days aswell.. but actually there is nothing super special, rockman frame, fork, stem, handlebar, rims, pedals, cranks, hope brakes, king hub in the rear and soon to be ti spokes and bb..

    :)

  10. Well that's ok then! Just remember seeing Scandium tubesets on XC hardtails coming in around the £500-800 range and i'm sure that they would be produced in greater numbers than a trials frame. Just have to wait and see then.

Is that dual disc or magura braked bike?

    dual disc;)

  11. Scandium nice

Wonder how much stronger this frame is compared to the Koxx silver sky?

The 6000 and 7000 series aluminum is between 35-42 ksi. k-alone is 45 so not that big a difference. These tubes with scandium is 68 ksi, witch makes quite a difference. Titanium for example has 85 ksi.

    (ksi = pounds/ square inch, 1 ksi = 1000 psi )

    You cant be serious

EDIT: if u had extreamly light parts extra holes drilled and things do u think you could get it to 6.9?

more pics and specs later on, and as i said, 7.4 with mostly standard rockman parts, rear king hub and a quite heavy rockman fork i recon below 7kgs isnt that hard if you get the drill out and compromise some parts...
