reliability is also relative, if you use the brake for 4 months then get a new one it does not matter as much... disc vs. hs33 is another deal, since it´s 2 very different feeling brake systems..
but i agree reliability is a factor aswell.. that is why i have an heavy king hub on my otherwise pretty darn light bike...
If you want a light trials brake, I'd also advise looking at the Magura Marta SL mag brake. Stan from tartybikes was using one, if you're lucky he might see this and post up his thoughts.I think i´ve read that he is very happy with that front brake... Don´t know if i want to get involved with magura products again though:P and also the wheight savings over a carbon/ti hope trials with the plastic hose is subsantialy ( sure of misspelled) less.

tiny amount? it´s about 200gr almost. Now it happends to be that i compete at a high level, but i think that has nothing to do with how much you can spend on your bike. Most people that buy ferraris etc aren´t competing race drivers right? Just fat rich guys that wants a fast car...

is there such a thing as to pricey for trials? got to up to oneanother i recon.. i just want to know if there is anyone that has tried or use this specific brake so i can learn something from them.. otherwise i will just buy em and try em for myself

Im just going to go ahead and say no there, if you´ve had a king and maintained it you will not replace it.. My first hub i got back in 2003 still runs perfect. got tire of the colour thogh:)
