Hi guys,
I'm trying to get back in the game, but recently moved to East Barnet and I'm struggling to find half decent spots, which aren't directly outside people's houses. Even the local industrial estate doesn't have much!
Does anyone know of any local spots that I can pop out for an hour or so and get back in the groove?
N.B. looking for TGS spots.
Cheers,
Neil

Good times...

It looks like one of the older Zoo frames - to establish the year, you may want to post some more pics.
I'm a bit out of touch, but i reckon c.£200 isn't bad value.

Do you ever feel that you're too hard on yourself?
Today i presented a session at work which was not well received...i'll spare you the details. However, i do come away from times like these and beat myself up about it - what could i have done better, why did you phrase it like that, etc etc. In the past this reflection has pushed me to better myself, which is why i'm in a fairly fortunate position now.
But, i now feel this is actually hindering me...i feel reluctant to give more..i'm tired...feel a bit "in over my head"...does anyone else ever feel like this? How have you dealt with it?

Yes.
Edit: Maybe my humour isn't great.
Rear
Brake : Shimano Saint m810 (though I would run a 20 or a zee)
Adaptor: Hope
Rotor : RT(NOT ICETECH)
Pads : BBB Discstop organic (though Aztek are very similar, you can buy on Tarty). The back of the pads have fabric plaster on them (if you cut your hand you'd stick a plaster on it <to save confusion) this is to stop pad rock as the pistons dig into this slightly.
Front
Brake:
Adaptor:
Rotor:
Pads:
Double edit, I was for a brief time running a Hope Tech 3 on Trialzone caliper with the same rotor, pad and adaptor setup to have a very similar feeling brake. If anything the Hope was a little keen with no modulation which is actually something people say they give you more of.
Thanks - I run a similar set up on my rear, but don't seem to get the power that you can from it.
I'll keep messing with it, thanks.

Many thanks

Tried something new at work (internal comms about my function) sent to all our offices globally and desk dropped locally...it was off brand...all but 2 people have been negative about it rather than positive.
I can see the COO has emailed my boss...feel bad...i guess it had his sign off and he's not hanging me out to dry, but I've only been at the company 2 months...damn.

Brought back some memories riding in Portsmouth...ahhh the good old days.
Really enjoyed watching a bit of TGS! Some seriously big moves in there...up to rear from static on the uni block is a big one!

Hi guys, sorry if this is a common question I am new obviously
Looking at picking myself up a little 20" and getting into trials riding. Was looking for advice on how to learn.... I live in South Wales (near Newport) and I'm wondering if there are any trials clubs or people who will teach me the basics.....?
Also - anyone got an old Ashton Justice 26" kicking about..? Looking for one of them too
I have a "pretty much" complete Speed Race Fans 26" for sale. Let me know if you're interested - 07515030960

Sure thing
Well the offer is there - £200 posted for my GU - just needs a few bits to become a cracking bike!

Get a cheap second hand dedicated trials bike for sure!
It just so happens I have 2 that are up for sale. They're slightly older style geometry, which would give you a good balance between the street stuff and pure trials. I'm based near Reading - if you're local come up and have a try! They will be much more cost effective than a budget onza! Check out Neil's Big Sale thread in the For Sale section and drop me a line 07515030960.
Even if you didn't go for mine I would still recommend a second hand trials bike!

Hey bud,
I just so happen to have two 26" full builds (well almost full builds! ) with a slightly older style of geometry, but still modern enough to feel "trialsy". Both bikes are more durable than the newer style bikes and would be an excellent 1st bike. There are a number of pictures and spec in my topic "Neil's Big Sale" in the F/S section.
I'm more than happy to have a chat if you're interested…or just if you need a chat from one of the elder members of the forum about "stuff".

Hook up at 8pm in Reading tomorrow...pending weather...
Mate i'm local in Maidenhead. I've got a little group i ride with. We should hookup some time!

Looks like the scene is on the up in Reading!!
Few of the riders have been building 24" rigs (including myself) so expect there will be some rides appearing soon
Woop woop!

Strangely enough i posed this question to my girlfriend when we were in Columbia a few weeks ago. She confirmed that its much more comfortable wearing a skirt in hot weather, as you get a bit of a breeze and you don't feel as sticky.
Personally i don't understand why a woman can wear trousers or a skirt and society accepts it, but a man can't. Unfortunately i won't be the first person in the queue at Primark buying a skirt, but i admire the man who would.

Brad or a mod please remove the pic with my address
Hey Damo
I've also bought a few things from Brad's last post.
Brad seems to have left off the dates in each of the pictures because they were not delivered on the day that he specified. But as i've been able to track my parcel i can see it was sent out on the 9th of September rather than the 30th of August, which Brad stated. I previously saw that your receipt had shipping via airmail, so i think he has sent it...albeit late.
I'm not sure why Brad has not just been honest at the start. I know we all make mistakes, but he probably could have avoided a lot of negative posts towards him if he was honest from the start.
I'll post back up here when my stuff arrives...thats right i have a bit of faith...just!

Hey Brad
I thought I'd let you know I've still not received my items either....is it possible both packages weren't sent by your local post office?

Onza MVP 24 frame - geometry
in Trials Chat
Posted
Evening all,
I was looking at buying an Onza MVP 24" frame. It never made it into mass production, but the guy selling doesn't know the geo.
Anyone on here have a hand in creating it and remember the geometry?
Thanks in advance,
Neil
