    With the renting the hall part, if you rented it out each month, what if some other tight ass crack wanted to use it aswell? how would you get around that? also, what if you damaged the hall floor? anyways, nice idea but i suggest if its gonna happen you think it through first mate. (Y)

    we had our events inside. They didn't seem to mind the odd 1 or 2 tyre marks left on the floor (and the walls *ahem stedman* )

    Its quite cool but only recommended during winter months and even then don't expect it to be chilly. The reason we stopped indoor events was

    a) the hall became privatly owned and was no longer council property

    B) therefore was too expensive as well as INSURANCE!!

    don't forget all events need insurance and the costs are a bit steep.....

    The only thing which worries me is the amount of silly old people in my hometown. Theres so many crazy old ladies come into work. Its so funny because theres 2 old women, one's a catholic, ones a protestant and my god they make sure the whole shop knows it. They're always arguing about whos religion is better, and even after ones gone home, they preach to me for about 5 minutes straight.....

    Now for all these people moaning at the advertising etc

    1) stop it

    2) look at tunni's vid? and cls's? specially zoo 28 "say zoo bike .com" blah blah blah personally i think its all funny obviously others are offended by it

    Surely if this was a scam it wouldn't know??

    etc. Bascially it looked like it was going to take me to normal ebay, but instead it took me elsewhere. That link was copied + pasted from the e-mail, I didn't actually hyperlink to the destination as in the email

    Now you're confused......try the examples again ;)

    First off, I've not used ebay for about 3 years now. Then suddenly in my inbox appears this rather formal and real looking email:

    Dear mattu4@hotmail.com:

    Valued eBay Member,

    We are contacting you to remind you that on 08 JUN 2006 we identified some unusual activity in your account coming from a foreign IP address :capitol.guatemala-203-pc.in ( IP address located in India ) . We have been notified that a card associated with your account has been reported as lost or stolen and involved in fraudulent transactions, or that there were additional problems with your card.

    According to our site policy you will have to confirm that you are the real owner of the eBay account by completing the following form or else your account will be marked as fraudulent , and will remain open for investigation. You will pay for the fees wich will result from the financial transactions between eBay and FIT ( Fraud Investigations Team ) .

    Now first off the link takes me to : http://signin.ebay.com.user-id4606.com/ws/eBayISAPI etc etc Which for a start makes me wonder what the hell the user-id4606 is all about

    Second point of suspiscion is that after i entered my details (a one off password which isn't used for many other important things) i get take to a screen asking for my bank details, INCLUDING MY PIN NUMBER!!

    Now i thought maybe...just maybe its all true. So itested it again (didn't put anything in ofcourse) but i went back and put in partz and bashed the keyboard as the password

    it went through.....

    Just a warning for everyone, Don't open Emails from ebay until VERY Carefully examining every part of it. It fooled me up until the point of asking for my PIN number....

    EDIT: Just went on to ebay as normal and signed in (took me ages to guess my username) and everything was normal (Y)

  25. Sidehops And The 'feel' Thereof.

    I've learnt to take off from a back wheel position, but not one big hop from two, and then jump. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of manifesto (or half-manifesto etc)

    Basically when you start it WILL feel wrong. I learnt it the "wrong" way (to my favourite foot side) and i started by instead of hopping sideways I sorta span instead :S

    You could be too close to the wall. I found that this was a problem and led to much frustration. Also you have to compleltly commit yourself everytime. I can't explain it, but its like sidehopping is a "vulnerable" move and can lead you wide open for injury if something goes wrong. But don't think about that, otherwise you will fall

    Try it with low stuff (and I mean low stuff, maybe even double kerb/curb height or something) just so you get the technique dialled. Remember though on the low stuff, don't put the front wheel OVER the object, cos on bigger stuff, you cant do that ;)
