  4. Do you know anything about computers? What would be the point in spending £650, or whatever it is, to upgrade it immediately. And laptops are harder to upgrade than computers especially seeing as Dave knows very little about them.

I was just saying. That he could buy it to use for what he wants. But if he wanted better anytime then he could get it upgraded!

Anyway Dave. Have you tried ebay?

  5. You must be strange to spell that bad.

Seeing as people complain about me saying that, if you weren't queer you wouldn't fancy me, and if you didn't fancy me you wouldn't be queer. So the 2 reasons are pretty much the same.

Right okay. I think ill stay out of your monkey buisness

  6. No, I can get girls and men, but only take up the offers from men. And if you offered I'd shit in my shoe and put it back on. Then run away.

  7. Firefox has cornered 11.5 per cent of the browser market share, according to Web monitoring company OneStat.com.

Internet Explorer still dominates the landscape with a recorded global usage of 85.45 per cent. In contrast to Microsoft's browser, however, which saw a 1.18 percent decline since the end of April, the open source browser saw its usage share increase, up 2.82 per cent.

Last month, research firms reported Firefox was actually losing share, possibly because of a change in the way the new Netscape browser identified itself. However, it appears that was just a glitch.

'The global usage share of Mozilla's browsers is still growing and it seems that Netscape users and some Internet Explorer users are switching to the Firefox version,' said the co-founder of OneStat.com, Niels Brinkman. 'It also looks like that browser users of Internet Explorer for Apple's Mac are switching to Safari because the global usage share is still growing.'

Behind the leaders come Apple's Safari (1.75 per cent), Netscape (0.26) and Opera (0.77).

The company has also broken down its figures on a UK basis. Here, IE records 93.37 per cent, Firefox 4.94 per cent, Safari 0.99 per cent, Netscape 0.23 per cent and Opera 0.39 per cent.

OneStat monitors, on a browser basis, the Internet users that arrive at sites using one of its services. The research, it states, is based on a sample of 2 million visitors divided into 20,000 visitors of 100 countries each day.

Last month we reported that Firefox had passed another download milestone - 100m surfers hunt down Firefox. A version 1.5 release is expected later this Autumn (Firefox 1.5 RC1 is currently with testers).

  8. A lawsuit has been brought against Apple by iPod nano customers unhappy with the ease with which the MP3 player's screen became scratched.

The proposed class action lawsuit, filed in the US District Court in the Northern District of California in San Jose, demands compensation in the form of a full refund plus a share of Apple's profits from the nano. The plaintiffs are also seeking a refund of the $25 that Apple charged to fix the problem.

The filing alleges that the devices 'scratch excessively during normal usage, rendering the screen on the Nanos [sic] unreadable, and violating state consumer protection statutes'.

Apple declined to comment, but has previously admitted a problem with some of the early iPod nanos. Indeed, after an initial flurry of complaints the issue had disappeared until resurrected by this lawsuit.

However it has also conceded that some scratching is likely and recommended that iPod nano users purchase a protective cover. The lawsuit alleges that Apple released the product knowing that it was defective but did not admit so until forced to do so.

What do you people think. Looks lik ethe new i-pods ain't as good as people say they are!

  9. Hey.

I'm after a new Motherboard, Prosessor and RAM. I found a good one on Komplett for £210 but I can't seem to find it anymore. ;)

So yeah. I'm after 1GB of RAM, and AMD Processor (May consider Intel?) and a Decent Motherboard with an AGP GFX Card slot. It needs to be for IDE hard drives too if that makes any difference?

Ideally I'm looking to pay about £250.

    Thanks. ;)

    Aright mate.

Depending on what you want the machine for I.e games etc. or just a general use pc is what determines on socket you get. For games i'd go for a socket 939, but if you want a normal office pc you want something like a socket A, as there quite cheap and still around. Now for processor go for amd as they are slightly better then intel. Now ram id go for either kingston or crucial make sure you check the speed of the ram before buying, Now the motherboard that your planning to get, if i was you id check to see if it would take up to 2gb of ram as thats what there going up to now. For a graphics card make sure the motherboard has a decent agp slot i.e 8x or something. or you could beat the agp slot by making sure your Motherboard has a pci express slot. For hdds there moving to Sata cables so id try and get one of them.

    Anyway hope this all helps.

    Nick
