  1. have you got armoured door lock plates? if not, its pretty easy to get in with a screwdriver, can damage the door though. The armoured plates can cover the damage, and prevent people doing it in future.

  2. I prefer the smooth creative stuff, may be because i can't go big (although im not that good at smooth either :P) but maybe thats just how my mind works, im competetive but not stupidly so, but i am a perfectionist in a lot of things, so maybe its to do with that.

Anyway, i think my sig says it all.

  3. Watched the sunrise at stonehenge this morning. Think that counts as a great festival, enough bloody people there

Was a good laugh, will have to do the whole night next year i think. Still its another thing crossed off the "things i really want to do" list.

    QUOTE(joe b @ Jun 20 2007, 12:54 AM)
And, furthermore, is anyone going from the north that can pick me up? Bath is south of Mansfield/Nottingham isn't it?

    much much further south

    QUOTE(joe b @ Jun 20 2007, 12:54 AM)
And, do you need tickets to ride?

you need tickets to get in, after that, its ride where your allowed.

    QUOTE(joe b @ Jun 20 2007, 12:54 AM)
And, furthermore, when is the latest i can buy a ticket?

You can buy day entry on the gates, but weekend camping may be sold out already.

    QUOTE(joe b @ Jun 20 2007, 12:54 AM)
    And, is it a competition?

There has been a trials comp previous years yes, although not a traditional section comp. Its more a street freestyle comp.

    Cheers,

    Joe.

    Tickets getting ordered tomorrow.

Woop, I may need some peeps to save me a tent spot till I arrive on Fri evening....

    Anyone?

yo! i will cmap with you freddo! il save some space, and try and find everyoen else!

  5. Nick- im not disowning the mini i just need a reliable daily driver and this is a damn good deal- and much better than a broken pug 205. I don't have the money or the no claims to mod the golf- its a 1.6, so its staying standard. only things im likely to do are relay the headlights so i can run brighter bulbs, and maybe replace suspension bushses and such things that are likely to be worn on an 18 year old car.

Deary me, how things change! I laughed reading this, not only is the mini STILL not finished, i have modded the golf, quite extensively, and the suspension bushes, which i knew needed doing when i bought it and mentioned there, i still haven't done!!!! im getting sooo many horrible suspension noises now though lol.

Workshop is tidy, new engine is in workshop, along with a GTI subframe, wishbones, and 16v hubs and all parts to refurb.

    I need to get busy!

  6. The grips on my trials bike split when i put them on, wierd as i have the same grips on the same bars on my xc bike, there still fine!

Im still using then though, 1 1/2 years later, the split seems to grow very slowly. now about an inch and a half on each grip lol.

When i see how much money i have left next week, i will be placing an order.

  7. I think the big give away was the wheelbase and the roof line.

yeah, i spent about half an hour on google images trying to think of cars with that shape rear quater/door galss, then check where the wheels were! still didnt find it lol.

looked at new beetle, audi TT, new astra, bmw 3 series, then couldnt think of anymore.

  8. Looks like a heavily modded morgan

I thought it might be, then i started wondering if it was a more mainstream car with serious body work, and new front end. The headlights look very BMW MINI to me, and the door kinda look like they were origonall sqaure, and the curve to match the wing has been cut and welded.

  9. Regognise a couple of the cars there.

Green mini was at no-rice last month, don't like the interior myself, but very cean car.

And that brown saxo- hes got a project thread on E38, seriously good car.

    What the hell is that?

  10. All of my whitenesses statements and mine are all very similar. Surely thats case closed ?

    Danny.

Quite possibly, but it could well be case closed and not in your favour.

If you were riding on the road, close to the pavement and this happened, you would have had a much better chance here. You were riding on the pavement, regardless of how you were riding, that IS illegal. if the police really wanted to be harsh they coudl give you a fine for that too!

  11. Without a helmet they are ;)

    Danny.

wtf? you really saying its legal to ride on the pavement if your not wearing a helmet? hah! It is illegal to ride on the pavement, with or without helmet, full stop. (In fact a helmet it not a legal requirement to ride a push bike, so its irrelevant anyway.) a few people on here will prove that to you with the reciepts from there fines!

you are in a bad position, especially as you said sorry. Yes, she should have looked, however, if the entrance/exit is blind (ie cant see down the path due to hedges/fences ect) then as a driver, i know you have to creep out until you can see, which will put everything forward of a side window out o the exit before she could see anything, so she may not be in error.
