  1. It's sad that you're guys closing, although I saw your web site only a few times. 8 years it's a long period. Hard to loose out good people.

about sale. Will you be able to send me some items overseas?

If you email us at info@cleanbikes.co.uk with details of what you want/need, we'll let you know the shipping cost, then you can use the PayPal's "send money" option to pay.

    Cheers

    Barbara

  2. Make sure you have a memorable last day barb! hope everything goes well for you in the future, will be sincerely missed :(

Yes, today's our last day!

Although having both been very ill for the last few weeks we're sadly behind with getting all the sale items onto the site. Bikes and frames have all gone, but if you need anything Monty over the next few months, clothing/spares etc, check out the website for at least 20% discount. I promise that you'll get the same service as before with items being mailed out at the earliest opportunity (same day or next day) and I won't rip you off or delay sending products!!!!!

I hope to see everyone at all the trials this year (and if you don't already compete, give it a go, it really is good fun!!!). Bracken Rocks on the 19th April - can't wait! (Y)

Thank you to everyone for supporting cleanbikes over the last eight years.

    Barbara

  3. I received a call from Ben's dad yesterday (4th January) asking if I can find a home for Ben's riding equipment, ramps etc from the back yard. All free to a good home, but you need to be able to collect it (near Doncaster).

If you are interested, please email me: barbara@cleanbikes.co.uk

  4. From entry form ...

Venue: Harden Moor, near Keighley / Bingley

Directions: Post Code BD21 5QP. On the A629 at Keighley, at the roundabout next to "The Beeches" "Toby Carvery", take the turning signed for the railway station and Town Centre. Go straight past the railway station, then straight through the first set of traffic lights. Take the first left turning (immediate after EMU furniture centre) into Long Lee Lane. Follow that road, under a railway bridge then up the hill. Take the right turning into Shaw Lane, signposted Cullingworth. Follow this road until you come to "The Guide Inn" on a small crossroad. Turn left into Ryecroft Road, the trial is about ½ mile along here.

    See you there!

  6. I wouldn't buy from there personally.

Good job we don't rely on you then :giggle:

No offense meant, and I'm sure you're a brilliant web designer, I just get fed up of seeing all the shops looking almost identical.

We're into more than just selling, and organising events is just so important to us personally, whether it's an important national or international event, a demo for the local club, or a charity fund-raising event. Having worked hard as the chief exec of an international company for 15 years I want a bit of fun in life and to put something back into the world ... and I get that by helping other people out - not by sitting back and counting the profits from yet another "professionally designed" internet shop!

If people like it - great! If they don't - ok!

    Barbara

PS: Don't forget ... two days at Shipley Glen this weekend guys!

  7. Now that is one we can't miss out on as it will definitely be our last trial in the UK. :(

I have one little problem though........ Both Robbie and my bikes will be on there way down under. (N)

This is a plea from us both, will some one be able to lend us a 26" and a decent 20" for the comp PLEASE. :$

Can't wait, it will be a sad day for us but a great trial no doubt.

    See you all there.

    John and Rob.

You'll be sadly missed John and Robbie. Pretty sure we have a 26" X-Lite you could borrow (the one I rode at the Brimham fun day) if that's any good for you. When do yours go?

  8. Sorry to hear that Gavin. Chris did the same as Bongo back in November, cartlidge broken into 3 pieces and severed the ACL. They repaired the cartlidge a couple of months ago but he's now waiting for surgery to replace the ACL, which they say is only 50% chance of success.

    Hope your recovery goes well.

  9. For everyone who attended the Easter Bunny Hop and met young Ben Carlile, I thought you'd like to know that he's just started going back to school - just three afternoons a week for a couple of hours. Not a lot - but a brilliant start!

Watch out for the write-up about the event in MBUK (June issue) - Ben's thrilled to be mentioned!

Funds are still coming in but it's looking like we raised around £3,000 from the event for the candlelighters charity.

Well done to everyone who contributed!

    (Y)

(For those who couldn't go to the event ... 9 year old TykeTrial member Ben is suffering from a rare form of spinal cancer, he had a 9 hour operation to remove most of the tumour, and has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy since November.)
