new to trials hehe, what exactly do you use a booster for? i always assumed they were just to protect the hosing or cable + general setup for brakes?

know the feeling well from bmx days, it's kinda kewl afterwords when your totally wired :S even better if you ride when your pissed off or youve bin dumped (swear down best ride ever) I don't want to sound disrespectfull but what happend to dj? i havent bin with the forum long but i've seen it in peoples names etc

My mom has just asked me if anyone has actually died riding trials this is after showing her about 3 minutes of some Andrew Tonkery video on http://www.observedtrials.net/index.php? (think it's the second one down) anyway it made me think has anyone died? have they or for that matter has anyone been paralysed (please dont put ur little war stories up here unless they have left you in a electric wheelchair) wich has given me another little idea, could you do a power hop in a wheelchair? (anyone who is in one please try, better yet FILM IT) wow I'm evil arent i!

askin about a 26" trials for under 400 well i think saracen have one for £300, looks ok to me http://www.saracen.co.uk/mad/mad.html i beleive that should get you where you want to be :)

lol thats harsh dude, but at least u've got some description of a bike (sarecen mantras are not good lol) but i nt orderin it off site or nethin i gna be gtin it from sum local bike (this is a local bike shop, for local cyclists we'll have no trouble here...) shop but roughly how much wud i pay for a rim grind? :-

Yeah i know the T-bird int for jumpin but it will still be betta than the mantra, as in the way it is built nd stuff

£I'll say this first off i think that mbr mbuk and all other bike magazines are great except for the reviews of bikes i mean lets be ohnest for your average teen (13-16+) getting anywhere over £250 is nto normally an easy task. Or for that matter is it easy to persuade you parents etc to buy you a bike (ok maybe we'r arent all the same but my parents came from the day when a bike was to get from A to B and didnt cost to much either) which in some cases seem totally pointles (you have to agree that at first when you told your parents about trials and explained roughly what it was about and show them a video of some pro jumping on/off things although it's fun to see your over cautios mum look horified hehe) but ignoring all of that i was thumbing through an old mbuk and i got to a review of a bike and it wasn;t that special to be ohnest but it was like a grand, who ohnestly pays that for a bike? do you not think it is overkill, Maybe it's just me but none of these magazines are realistic do you agree>?

(N)MANTRA'S DO NOT WORK FOR JUMPING!!!:) for the love of god no, my mantra is tottalled the back tyre/hub settup is bent reli bad the disks are going 2 pot and the front fork is LEAKING for the love of god LEAKING! Are you thinking of the mantra I am (saracen gunmetal 2005 issue)? I know for some people £300 isnt a lot for a bike(it is for me and most of my mates and the people who pick up the billls) but i wud think they could do a much better job with a bit of luck the T-bird(not lond now) will be a bit better!

i dont have the bike yet i bin pushin a saracen mantra (cable disc brakes) but i still not exactly sure what you do when you bleed a brake (clever arent i)

just had a thought, i've never had hydraulics before (come on t-bird) and i was a bit unsure about bleeding them, i dont see ay poin t'cos they dont do it on cars do they!?! :sleeping:

ouch! lol, hum i think worse was when i still rode bmx (the good 'ol days...) and i had one of those cheap + nasty jobs from Toys R us (we also do screaming kids wanting overprised lumps of flouresent plastic...) and i live in a village with a disused quary in (lots of fallen trees and stuff, i spose it makes up for the lack of concrete etc) and we had made a few little kikkers tabletops we even dug out one of the far walls for a rollin in on so anyway i had just kained it down it and went for the big(ish/est) tabletop and totally overshot and started to "nose in?" (the bike was that bad it had a tendancy to do that god knows how it got in the air in the firstplace) straight onto flat and fliped straight over the top of me (with my legs locked into it) i can't remember a lot ofter that....

I just had a bit of a random thought, what kind of shoes do most trial riders wear (i've never taken i upon myself to look) i normly wear skate shoes are these ok?

i dont think i could afford the t-pro becuase if i get the t-bird i think i'm having to pay the extra 80quid from the T-vee also how often do onza re design their bikes bcos it's nearing the end of the year and it would be oh so lame if i bought the bird/vee and then it became old and sad and dead etc

Hey all, i am about to get an onza (of some description t-vee or t-bird) well not realy about give it a month or so i was just wandering if you had any opinions recomendations since i'm still a bit new to all this, so if you have recomendations etc i wud apreciate them
