anyone know how long the train would take from saxmundham to get to norwich
-
me and a couple of mates are goin to lowestoft 07817990761 phone me if u go there
-
well basically i have ridden 20" t-pro till i snapped it and a python till i shagged it and sold the battered bits to some people, now i have a 26" adamant mod stock and i was thinking.
i find 20" too small but i feel like 26" are too big, or not quite my style, so my dilemma as my 26" is brand new im not giving it up straight away but maybe save up or slowely build the ciguena
http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10038
But has anyone got one?
how do they ride ?
is it like riding an overweight mod ??????
there are some good parts i could make a 24" with these days and by the time i get the money probably more so what do you reckon.
-
nice, i want a 24" but not a zoot
-
well basically were getting the train into lowestoft for sunday, not sure where were riding yet but i think we will be down the sea defence rocks near the wind turbine.

I run a tensile freewheel but my mate uses a try-all one and straight of the bat it skipped like hell, he thought maybe it just needs bedding in ect but 4 months on and it still skips like mad. When ever he pedal hops or puts some power into the drivetrain it skips and makes a loud noise.
Hasn't anyone phoned the company they got it off, and said look mines obviously fuked so send me a new one ?????? i mean if its mechanical then u should easily get a refund, if u phoned em anyway. there is no harm in asking.
All this bitching about them but no one is trying to do anything about it.

what can u say apart from, absolute legend. Tra u are a master of this sport, congrats im truly jealous.
-
i know this might be a stupid question but im gonna ask it anyway as it could be a simple mistake.
Did u put the little silver ring in between ur crank and the free wheel (havin the flat side against the crank) ?????? , its very unlikely but hey were only human.
I've had no probs, never skipped once and i thrash down some big hills in my town and its still perfect.
-
considering i dont practice them, pretty easy im not sure how high the wall is but its just above handlebar height. the only prob with my bike is that my cockpit needs to be moved forwards a tad maybe some riser bars and thats it.

If i switch i will be riding and Adamant A1
If i could ride both i would haha i'm not rich!
Cheers, Will
So,
Switching would be a good idea?
What do you find easier or harder??
Cheers, Will
i sold my zoo python last year, spent a whole year not riding trials at all but feeling lonely but now i have an adamant A1 with the horizontal drop outs, trust me its worth it.
1 - yes it would be a good idea i think stocks are much better, for natural and street in my opinion ( though im 6ft 3 so i need a big bike )
2 - you will find it harder until u get used to the weight of the bike but with the right set up it should suit u more, it took me 2 weeks to be able to do all the things and more that i used to on my python. i think the geo is much better, them mod bikes are just expensive kids bikes
if u live near suffolk come and ave a go on mine.
-
More likely to snap to.
Saying that my m8 got his koxx mod out today and the first wall he jumped off his chain snapped and he went flying 4ft onto his front with his bike mangled around him
his chain was slack as fook when i saw it before
i did laugh my guts off though

nope sadly im the best person in my town, i know few riders from lowestoft but i dont think they can tap, so its kinda hard learning new stuff. i was the first to do rail gaps over here, front wheel gaps, big pedal gaps, and a few other bits and this they had been riding 2 years ahead of me so yeah they dont really help ma skills much, bit of a shame but hey its just the way it is.
i will carry on trying on smaller walls but i find my front wheel tends to pop just over the edge of the wall. if i can ill try and take some small clips of me tomorrow and u lot can see what i might be doing wrong.
cheers people

ok well all the info was good and well until i tried it on some walls earlier which was just about handlebar height.
what happened was when i hit the front wheel ( maybe i was jumping enough ) and try and jump it up like the back wheel almost goes underneath me or hits the wall and i land on my pedal or bash its really anouying i cant get it at all ill keep trying but bit of a mission im no missing a few spikes from my pedals which aint good.
i watched loads of vids and some from trashzen but i can seem to get the hang of the jumpin while hittin it.
-
talking of hitting lowish, on a reading ride a few weeks ago, where it had just been raining, you could see where your tyres had been, i hit my frontwheel 3 and a 1/2 bricks down from the top lol. thats low
how high was the wall >???<
-
-
ignore this ..................
-
cool thanks for the info helps a lot cause i tried it earlier and just smashing my bash guard up cause i was leaning back lol, i think the wall was a bit small for this move cause i would usually pop it up before i hit the corner of it, but hey i've got a lot of vids to watch
If anyone can demonstrate in some small vids rather than me having to watch the whole videos i've got ( my windows media is a bit dodge u see ) would be a great help, but if not dont worry ill just keep on truckin. some slow mo's would be perfect.

Well as the topic says i really badly want to learn how to tap up walls but to me is scary as hell and i could do with some advice on how to start getting into it. I mean when i role up to a wall expecting to tap my front wheel on it i either stop or pedal off to early and miss it completely.
How did you big trials people out there learn how to do it ?
thanks in advance for any help

strange thing is im safer on my bike believe it or not broke my arm in half and cracked my wrist pissing about on walls without a bike worst one on a bike is just using my shins as brake pads on the corner of a concrete block. lovely job
-
that was awesome......... good on him.
