  2. 1. You're a dick

    2. The police will 90% be stopping every car they see tonight - good luck!

    3. See 1

    4. If you do this, hope you get caught after ploughing into a hedge or something and passing out

    5. Cant stress 1 & 3 enough

Seriously, I have had plenty of times when I "had no choice" but to drive home. Never done it though! Find a place to sleep if you're that wasted. One time, I slept on the floor in a car park next to my car, didnt get woken up by anyone, was all good! Also, a car park at the back of a nightclub in town.

Is there seriously not one person you know who will not be getting drunk tonight? A family member or something. Even offer to pay a friend or whoever to get you.

  3. i have asked a number of people what they look for in a helmet and they always say "its got to look good"

Well you have been asking idiots then. A helmet is a helmet when it comes to looks

As long as you find one that fits properly, and is uber-comfy then get it!

(Oh, and by the way, there have been a few new "What helmet" threads started recently, check out the search) (Y)

  4. Allthough it would be great to beable to switch on the TV and have someome riding trials, I dont see how this would help the sport at all.

All it will do is encourage more little chavs to get trials bikes for riding from A to B, so they can go round telling their mates they are pr0.

I reckon it will also lower the standard of trials in general, as companies not into trials right now will end up making their own *poopy* versions of bikes, just like it happened to BMX. (Like the £60 special from JJB or something)

Trials is a specialist sport, and has its own world. It needs to stay that way.

  5. Hmmm, Xen's are cool, but for those who cant afford them there are plenty of affordable options! I dont believe in getting a helmet just cos all the other trials riders out there have one. "Oh, xxxx has a Xen, that means I will be better if I get one!"

No. As long as its comfy and it fits you perfectly, in the end it doesnt make a huge difference!

I have the Giro Havoc myself.

  6. MBUK has been going downhill for a bloody long time. Was it like 2 years ago that they had the whole "New look MBUK" and every page ended up covered in white space?

Its like they just couldnt find enough stuff to fill the pages anymore!

Allthough it would obviously be nice to see a larger range of types of riding, especially trials of course! I suppose if you ask someone in the street what they imagine when you say Mountain Biking to them, I would put my money on most people saying XC.

Also, as Tomm said, its a speciality in its own right, and there are alot of people who ride bikes that dont have a clue that trials even exists, let alone theres world championships ect, so I suppose MBUK see the point that people havent heard of it, so dont want to use up too much space in their mag with it.

In the end, Im sure with stuff like TF and Tartybikes, we really dont need mags. As we get all the news, helpas and tips we need without having to go out and pay for it!

    :D

  7. If you search on Limewire or a torrent site or something you should beable to find the whole game (Of the first one)

With like 8 bikes and a ton of tracks on. Including one where you get to ride all over Kelly Brook! w00t

  8. 1200grams...ermm, bit hefty for a carbon fork? and a tad long for a trials bike-whats the retail?

They are probably longer as I expect they are XC forks.

And on the weight they look like they have more metal than most carbon forks I have even seen. So maybe thats why they're a bit heavier.

  9. Depends what you're trying to cut out. If you have a blank/all one colour background, you can highlight it with the magic wand, then right click and inverse the selection, therefore only selecting what you want!

If not, unfortuatly you have to use the freehand lasso tool and click many, many times around the pic you want to keep.

Unless you are just wanting to move it to another background, then one way is to copy the whole picture on top of the background you want, then use the rubber/eraser tool and delete around the edges of the original pic!

    Hopefully that helps!!

  10. Im a huge fan of the old school crew (I got a Planet X MK2 myself) But I think the Shooters maybe a lil bit too oldschool? They are fine I suppose if you have some decent parts on it, as they are daaaaamn heavy standard, so possibly a lil hard to learn things on.

But as I said, still ok if you get some good bits, and are looking for plenty of street riding!

I knew someone who had one for ages, managed to snap it, but he might as well just have come out, thrown his bikes at a few walls/cars ect then gone home, as he was such a heavy & sketchy rider!

Oh, change forks, bars and stem colours, and you'll be all good to go!

  11. Hehe, thanks for the comments people.

    HERO

just get a proper seat :)

Proper seat will be purchased when some cash comes in. Probably an SLR thingy.

no way club roost forks i had some of those until they snapped, but meh, looks beut :P

And my 'Roost forks are just over 3 years old, and still going strong! Im well happy with them!

  12. I think one of the main problems is, that the people who wanna spend alot of money on a trials bike mostly wanna build up their own spec bike!

So I suppose shops dont see the points in having loads of £1000+ bikes on display if someone would only buy it with different forks/bars/cranks ect ect.

I think for the bestest stuff you're stuck with the online shops! Allthough someone like Tartybikes will actually talk to you and give you good customer service and stuff, unlike most online shops that dont give a poop!

  13. ...i was wondering which helmets you guys would recomend...

Basically one that fits you and is comfy? Who gives a rats ass if its makes your head look big, helmets make most people look stupid but who cares if its saving your brain!

So, yeah the Xen is nice, I couldnt quite afford it when I got my new helmet last month, I went for the Giro Havoc. Bit cheaper, still looks good and is amazingly comfy for me!
