do i have to show you the definition of grinding? im not going to. and i did not spell anything incorrectly in any of my posts. but i do truly apologize for not putting the apostrophe in "you're." this is by far the worst online forum i have ever seen. even pinkbike was better...

i guess you guys all think you "pwned" me, but that isnt a knurl. that is a grind. nice try though.

the bike, new, was $1200 (i live in the US). the white industries ENO freewheel was another $95. these new cranks were $165. learn about them at www.bikebonz.com (or maybe its www.bonzbike.com) Martin- where is your frame cracked?

i read about it, and apparently thats not actually knurled. its just a really deep grind.

yeah... you definitely couldnt do it the normal way. even if you did have a huge chuck it wouldnt work. im pretty sure that knurling would take too much material off of the rim, making it very weak and probably unusable.

thats exactly why i was asking if it only came from one side. loose pedals cause creaking and weird feelings. if left loose for a while, loose pedals will strip the threads of the crank. I learned the hard way. tighten up those pedals!! loc-tite and thread tape are both good.

does it happen with every pedal stroke, or just with pedal strokes on one side?

either one should give enough clearance, so it comes down to preference. I like wide BBs, they give you more balance (or at least the illusion of it). some people dont like them because they think they feel weird. either way though its only 5mm difference, its not like 108mm vs. 128mm.

i wasnt asking for special treatment, i was under the impression that one good post was all it takes. but i guess that wouldnt really make sense. oh well. when you said you want the cranks, i presume you meant the Bonz ones, right? cause the other ones are for sale, along with a BB for them. i dont know how forbidden it is to say something is for sale, but im assuming that i wont get in trouble for this. i guess i will learn quickly.
