  1. does any one know how talcom powder reduces pintch flats or is it just one of these things there is explanation for

To my knownledge, although i'm pretty sure i'm wrong, worth a guess anyway....

A pinch flat is when the tube is caught between the tyre and the top part of the sidewall of the rim, due to heavier landing, and the tube is caused to rip when part of the tube stays in one place while the other part moves because of friction thus making it rip, and causing a pinch flat.....I think.....So when talcon powder is applied to the tube, it allows it to move more easily so it cannot get caught and ripped, helping prevent pinch flats.

I could well be wrong, but it was worth a try :-

  2. Most of the riding in that was simply.... :o

With every vid you get better, definately the best vid i have seen from you :)

Even when riding some technical natural and you just manage to get over it all in soo little time (Y)

  3. I know exactly what you mean. It feels really good to get back on your bike after taking a break. Everything feels fresh, but you still remember it and it all comes back.

There have been a few times when i've broke something on my bike, or when i've hurt myself meaning i cannot ride for a bit, and when i get back on my bike it's awesome. I happened to properly break my BB, as all the bearings got like crushed and fell out, and i haven't had a working bike in about 3-4 weeks, apart from it being so boring i'm just waiting to get back riding as it's really good when you haven't rode in a bit.

I'm not sure what other people think to this, but i really like it when you get back on your bike after having a break from riding.

  4. Looks awesome, and that colour really sets it off :o Really, really nice (Y)

Just wondering, as i was considerring getting a frame off Iolo, how it rides, although that's dependant on the geometry, but how strong and solid does it feel....? Is there much frame flex? I'm asking this because the tubing does look a bit thin.

Other than that looks really nice :)

  5. Went to my school prom Friday evening, limo there and back to my house with my mates and our gfs. Put a tent up the night before for somewhere to drink in. None of the girls stayed over as of some having work in the morning, i was 'ill' for work :). Then after the girls went we got one of them disposable BBQs out and cooked everything out my kitchen on it. A glass bowl thing full of candles caught fully alight so we managed to get it out the tent so i could kick it to put it out. Ended up gettin to sleep at about 4ish, and woke up to find what other things we had done  .

Last night i went round my gfs aunt's to help babysit, and her cousins wouldn't go to bed until their parents got back :( , but i still enjoyed just being with her :) .

They were my last two nights which were awesome, and i'm now having to drink loads of water as i've had nothing but alcohol in the last two days. Overall probably the best weekend i've had, although i'm now sat here doing prep for my art exam tomorrow.

  6. Some awesome riding there (Y) Going big on everything. One drop on there must be about 12 ft :o

But how can't you lot wear helmets  , going so big aswell so they're neede even more.

Really good riding and quite a long video :)

  7. I couldn't stop laughing to that, as it just looks so funny as this full grown guy turning up to a skatepark on a little scooter

But some of the tricks looked pretty good and impresive

  8. Very nice i like it, similar spec to my control.

What length is it? and what gear ratio do you run? I've got 22:18 on a 1085 control 04 so maybe i could take my mech off and do what youve done... is it a kmc kool chain?

Yep, same as mine. 2004 Echo Control long 1085mm, with 22t up front and 18t on the rear with a KMC Kool, with no tensioner (Y)

Thanks for the replies so far :)

  9. Very nice, nicer than mine like. :D

    2 questions :D

    What rim?

What rise?, lenght is the stem?

It's an Echo 48mm rear rim, and a Mavic 519 on the front.

The stem's a Echo HiFi 130mm x 15 degrees. I've ran it with this stem for a while now, think it best suites it (Y)

Thanks for the replies so far.

I'm lucky with having the chain the right length to run it without a tensioner, and it's tight enough this way without being too tight so it's really good :D

I'm gonna saw the bottom of my mech hanger off, to get it lookin a bit neater (Y)
