  1. My opinion is all smooth rim set ups are shit as they generally mean using tar which is shit and they usually have very little hold compared to a good set up on a grind.

But theres the arguement that you STILL have to modify your rim with a grinder in order to make your pads work. So NO-ONE can win this arguement.

  2. The would work well, doesn't matter if you have a good grind, a dead grind or a smooth rim, soon as you add tar your brake will work!

It is not realy possible to say a pad works well when you are running tar.....

I am running koxx browns at the moment on a light grind on a koxx rim and i LOVE them, seriously good pads, loads of hold, nice and bitey.

    Adam

So not true. Tar makes my brake absolute shit. Grind wise anyways. Smooth rim and zoo pads and tar = Unreal.

  3. Obviously never tried a front try-all sticky then have you...

Unnecessary weight. Also makes it a struggle to actually turn your front wheel on the spot.

I prefer my tyres to last for more than 2 weeks ;)

  4. Real nice looking. Not a huge fan of the stickering on the forks, but they can just be pulled off.

Only things I'd change if it was mine (I'm very hard to please so think yourself lucky its only 3 things :P)

    Front tyre

    Pedals

Front brake (just because BB7s drive me round the bend)

    Overall very very nice.

Why on earth would you change a high roller on front ? I've just gone from a thin tyre, 2.1 MTB thing, to a 2.35 high roller ST and oh my god, my bike feels a million times better, front wheel gaps and everything are better.

    Nice bike dude :)

  5. Damn you danny kearns :P

So hope my cnc backings arrive tomo i cant wait to try my phat pads now haha

Max, Loooking to damn smooth on that Boxx. ;)

Out of curiosity, what rim you gonna' be using them on ?

I've foudn they dont work well on echo 07 and try-all.

  6. 1. Get tape measure

    2. Get stem, Tighten the bolts.

    3. Measure it by putting the end of the tape measure in the slot.

    4. pull it down to around half wayinto the steerer clamp

If you can't fallow I'll get pics! (im bored)

Do it (Y) then whack it up in Wiki for future reference (Y)

  7. Essentially, it's either going to be a sidehop, a picture of the character they're pretending to be, or some shitty in-joke.

Does anyone even use avatars for anything other than working out where their own posts are on pages? :P

The only reason people only put sidehops in there avatars, is because avatars are that small, its the only move you can make any sense of.

If you put a gap or something, you can't tell where there landing or anything.

Meh, Not my forum. Just saying.
