HI, I think trials is all down to smoothness, If you land hard it sounds and looks horrible. Being on the back wheel looks good i think.

my cable hayes (mx-2) is amazing only about £35 , and is powerfull very smooth can be set up perfect
Saying that i have them on my dmr rythym and they are very hard to adjust, Personnaly mate i would
the avid mechanical bb7's with a good set of levers. Hope this helps mate.

I agree, They are very short, But as he said "it depends what you like." Have you considered a t-rex?I think they are a bit short. But thats my opinion it depends on what you like

Sorry this topic is not really trials-related, but I need to know this and I don't know where else I can post it.
So... Recently I snapped my Planet-X Zebdi, then I got it welded (which is fine for now). But I think it is time I bought a new frame.
I don't really have much money at the moment, but I am just seeking some advise.
What do you think would be a good jump bike frame? (Which is best value for money? and where could I get one from? etc..)
Thanks a lot in advance!
Sam

Sorry to hear that you bikes got nicked.
How much did you get in total.
Did you get it on the house insurance
I got 3200pound in total, It was on my house insurence, I was only covered for 500pound so i had to pay 50 pound and it went up to 3200. I am getting bike insurence now though. Do you know any good companys?

Hi, a few days ago i had 3 bikes stolen from my garden, A base ta26, Modified to the max!,A specialized bmx and kona. My mum phoned the insurence company and they gave me the full ammount spent on all 3 bikes to spend on new ones. i chose a t-rex spec 2 the same bmx I had, And a dmr ryhthm. I highly reccommend insurence. Could you afford a new bike if yours get stolen, Pay a few pound a month its well worth it.

Hi, My name is jamie. Hope this forum helps you.

Hi, i think trashzen.com will help you the most. I am in the learning process too, i dont no weather to cradle to get my balence before i go on too the back wheel. My mates say it makes me lose balance but i think it gives me control? Good luck with trials though.

How much money are you getting for all this insurance? Did you have a golden bike, with handlebars made from unicorn horns. With a seat made from the cross jesus was crucified on?
Either way, sure, I ride a spec1 T-rex, its all I could afford to buy with my hard earned cash, but had to upgrade it, cos some parts started to fail after 6 months. Its a great bike, although despite having strong stays, still could use a brake booster.
if you mean a normal standard magura booster then i have one you can have just add me on msn and email me your adress and i will get it sent off

Bike's meant to be sweet, you'll love getting back into it and a new bike/gear always makes you wanna ride more. Shame this bloody weather is crap.
i agree. i have 250pound left on insurence and i have to spend it on bike parts, any suggestions as too what i can improve on the t-rex?
-
Hi and welcome. What can I say exept well done for insuring your bike, I hope you like it here.
thank you everybody, i think insurence is a must, i also got a bmx and a dirt bike stolen too so i am getting a specialized fuse3 and a dmr ryhym dirt bike all for a few pound a month! I would advise it too all of you.
thanks for the welcomes.
