Hawkstone park looks fun.I seen two lads on da bombs there at the international motocross meeting dont know if its any of you guys. Its in shrewsbury if you dont know.
-
after 1 month after taking up biking all together not being able to do sh1t all (not even a track stand) i snapped da bomb bars killed 3 da bomb freewheels and popped the headset bearings so yes bottom line, da bomb = crap
Mine must be special then because ive had mine that amount of time and well a little more and ive hammered mine and the only thing thats gone is the freewheel but thats it so its been good so far.And if you kept killing da bomb freewheels you should have bought an acs or similar.

I had the very same problem,i used to always just knock it off with a hammer and then i went to do it once and it wouldnt come off.Go to yourlocal bike shop and get a tool.I have a park tools extractor,it cost £13 and all you have to do is screw it into your crank and it has a handle on the end and you tighten that and the crank pops off.
Its this Park tools extractor

I prefer natural over street like theres a row of rocks near my house and im there more-a-less every night.Street gets a bit boring when you do lots of it but natural never seems to get boring for me.I come from a moto trials background so this could be another reason why i like natural over street.

Mathew (carnagevisor) youve only just found out what trials is this week ...LOL...Your not one of 'us' until you get your bike i suppose...so meh
But yeh im Jared Lambe i suppose and i do moto trials and my main sport is motocross so im not even a "bike trialser" really.Well through the week i am.But yeh....

I hope it becomes big because im the first member so everyone will think im cool
-
Theres a pink T-poo (T-pro) on ebay...Now that is just cool
-
Just think back in the day people used to get there nails ripped off for punishment toe nails aswell i think cant remember why though...Because they wouldnt tell the germans or someone information...Learnt it yesterday
-
im not too bothered about weight anymore i will try to get hold of one
No you wont dude.Itll be too thick and you wont be able to get the right size i dont think.

I think da bombs are ace 'first bikes'.Ive learned sooo much in the time ive had it,its really easy to ride and im really happy how good i have got riding it.I had a ride of a onza T-Mag and to be honest i though mine felt better than it.I was the first person to ride it aswell so it was brand new.It did feel real nice though.Nothing has broke on the da bomb yet so thats cool to.
But yeh i dont know how you can say da bomb are crap first bikes because ive had mine a 1 month and 1 week and i can do like 6ft pedal hops,35" or something side hops and i learnt how to back hop in the first week ect....So they cant be to bad...Can they? (ritorical question )
And Mathew you didnt tell me you were getting a trrials bike at school

Well this is what i did with my v-brakes.So you could try this on yours.
Right
1.I took the cable off and give it a good oiling all the way through to make it smooth and light when it was ready to go back on.
2.I took my pads off and left them in boiling hot water for 10 minutes rubbing them half way through to get all the grease and muck off them.
3.I took the actual brake off and oiled the stansions so they where free and smooth when they went back on.
4.I sprayed the rim with brake cleaner and gave it a good wipe off with a cloth. You should be able to get brake cleaner from most shops like halfords and stuff.
5.I made sure the pads where square on the rim.
6.I ajusted the brake so it had the right amount of play in it,like so it wasnt touching my fingers but had some feel to it.
7.Now just put it all back together and it should be lots better, well mine was anyway.
Hope this is clear and good luck.

Hey,
Ive got a standard 'da bomb' tyre on my bike and to be honest its crap and is now almost bald.I need a new tyre (rear) but ive been told that you cant run creepy crawlers on a 20" rim.Is this true?If it is what other other tyres are good for a 20" rim. Thanks

Hello
I'm thinking of getting a Samsung VP-D80 and i'm wondering if it is a good camcorder for Trials use.I need to know pretty soon as im going to bid on one off ebay.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
Im wondering how do you take the crank off.Is there any other way to do it other than wolloping it with a hammer?

You people obviously have no girl friends cause most girls don't like hard skin on you r hands. Plus it feels a lot better to not have hard skin. And gloves keep your hands warm and slightly more protected so just cause you don't wear gloves doesn't mean other riders are "pussies" for not wearing them...
HTT 4 Life
Mine are hard anyway and i wear gloves always And ye it doesnt dig the chicks so that isnt good.I dont care though 'cos if the going to be fussy they can p**s off. Also good idea, get a chick who does trials.Sorted.And welcome Richard, have fun.Shame about your username

I would be doing motocross and motor trials which i already do now But....id be bored shitless through the days now ive started bike trials, like my bike broke on thursday and i didnt get it fixed until today and it was really bad. Also i went to hawkstone park on sunday to watch motocross and its really good for trials too which annoyed me more and every 2 seconds i was like "oooooo look at that rock, that looks fun" And thats like 6 days so i would probably cry if it wasnt here .But i would be alot better in school as i wouldnt be thinking about trials and drawing bikes on my test paper (happened today) got my paper ripped up.Yey.

Ok i'll tell him that. The thing is though there brand new, only had about 4-5 hours riding so there havent had any hammer. All it could be is the setup,i didnt have a good look so more than likely the pads will be out of line or something little. He hasnt got a grind either so maybe that would be an idea, also maybe a bit of tar.
What you said about V's being arguably as good as magura with a good set-up,i totally agree with this i have pretty cr*p V's with cr*p pads, no grind, no tar ect... and mine are amazing.Better than my hope mini's on my mountain bike,so just go's to show
Thanks for your help Anzo

Is there any pictures or videos, website ect...I want to know what there like Or does anyone know where i can look at some pictures to a similar comp?
-
I know this isnt strictly answering the question but...I had a ride of my mates T-mag which had an 05 rear maggie and to be honest i thought it was lame compared to my Cable brake. It looked like it was set up properly and that but didnt seem to hold very well, its like nearly new but its bedded in so i dont know what the problem could be.I only have tektro v's with standard (crap) pads and mine works better in everyway.Do you think he should take the pads of and have a look at them and clean them up or something. Its good until you get pretty vertical on the back wheel, it doesnt hold and you get a sore a**e for a couple of days.
-
I do this kind of mistake to
sometimes I forget my age and the date of my birthday :$
Hahaha...I did that the other day, someone asked me my age, at first i couldnt remember and then i said im 12 The silly thing is im 14 in a week.
-
yup you can tell with the braking methods and the stance on the pedals,
i dont know about the rest of you but i can sure as hell realise if somebody is actually good or skilled in someway/used to a trials bike with the way they stand up and pedal, especially chavs who dont even know what a trials bike is as they have boaght it for 20quid, they tend to be all stiff and look like they have been ring pieced. they pedal with the bike moving from side to side so much and have more or less a full hand over the brake lol. lots of other people just dont seem to be relaxed on a bike.
Your spot on there.I can always tell aswell,my mate got on my bike the other day and you could tell he was a rugby player and not a biker. He looked so stiff,he could hardly pull away and i dont think he knows the meaning of the word balance.

Im a syrup man myself Gets a bit sickly when you pour it on though I only had 6 :$ Im ashamed of myself, even my nanna could handle 7.Bless her.
