'Yamaha make proper stuff that will not brake'...How do you justify this? Do you own, or have you ever owned a Yam? Do you know the rip of costs of Yamaha parts and the maintence involved with getting them to a decent standard?
After riding motorbikes for 11 years, including a Yam Ty, then Yam Maj, another Yam TY, Montesa 315R (250) and then a Sherco (290) I know its VERY difficult to trick ride on a trials bike, something that weighs 10kg more then my sherco would be extremely difficult to ride like a bmx. An extra 10kg doesnt sound a lot, but think about having 10 bags of sugar cabletied to your frame...and those bikes are smaller (by the look of it) then a proper trials bike!!
This won't take off, it'll be the craze with american 'dudes' for a month and disappear into the atmosphere.
Buy a proper f**kin bike...
I own a yamaha yes (Yamaha 2004 DT 125cc)the only thing thats gone wrong on it was the clutch due to me thrashing it too much.I have owened severel other yamaha's a coulpe of honda's aswell.
I also own a yamaha 125cc quad which is much fun.
I worked in my brother in law's motorcycle spares shop for 2 years and have been riding motorcycles on and off for 15 years so i know my stuff when it comes to bike's with engine's.
You say it wont take off, the crap version off this has already been released in japan and has taken off already,so there's no doubt this one wont take off either.
I never said i was going to buy it either,
I was just pointing out something that's new and inventive and i like and thought i might get a bit of positive response not negativity,

You cant call yamaha crap they make the best off-road bikes there is,
they are not cheaply built strong as all the top motorcycle manurfactors(Honda,Kawasaki,KTM)
If you know anything about yamaha you will know this will be very strong and very well built,
Yamaha would not make something for it to brake on things it was made for.

like i said I think this will be great fun and a big hit making a new multi sport for x-games.
Are you still scared of a 250cc engine?
You still not thinking of being able to grind and have a giro on something that's nearly as light as a proper trials bike?
I cant wait to see what guys will be able to on this thing it will be crazy.

Im building a rear 9-speed rear wheel for my XC bike (Kona Muni Mula)
Rim:Mavic 712 SUP
I have a Rear Shimano XT Disc Hub and a DDG DH Rear Hub (Not disc compatible)
I know the XT is XT and is better allround but the DDG hub is as strong if not stronger and brand new but make's alot more noise due to it being new.
I will not be using a disc brake on the rear of my kona just rim brake.
Do you think i should just stick with the XT hub?

This is being made by yamaha remember so it will be a success and will not be cheaply built and will not brake.
do you see a yamaha 250cc DT do a 40ft jump then brake?no.
You dont like the idea of them crosser dudes being able to bar spin at 25ft then onto a grind and then flatlanding and then trials and back to 60mph to a 35ft jump that will take some skill.

If you want to do bmx............ get a bmx
If you want to do trials........... get a trials bike
If you want to do motocross....get a scrambler

When ever people try and combine lots of things together there is nealry always a problem.... so i cant see this being much different.

nah, looks shit will be shit. and im guessing very expencive. you wouldn't be able to ride it anywhere. i bet it wont be road legal so you would need a trailer/van. too much effort, just get a trials bike and a bmx, will work out cheaper too.
also petrol and insurance? that would be expencive too

They one i seen before looked a lot better,
It had single crown forks tricknuts for grinding and a giro,
I dont think your feet will slip either.
You will be able to do trials stuff aswell.

I spotted this Yamaha concept x-games style motorbike about a year ago and thought it just looks awesome and hope that Yamaha bring this into production.
Its amazing 250cc 80kg!!!

Rim looks alright but if the hub is anything like a deore it'll not last too long on a trials bike......
Edit: but at that price i guess you can't complain if you get a few months use out of it.... so yeh, good enough deal i'd say.
Yeah the deore's allways mess up but he's got a XC DDG Hub with sealed bearings that would go nice on that rim when that deore type hub goes.
He's not on a trails bike either he has this crap sarazen jump frame with good components just wanted to see if this was a good deal,
he like's trails,i can see him buying a trails bike before too long.

I got my brother to buy this wheel for his bike as his one is broke and he only has a DDG XC hub and no rim or spokes.

Im 21 and support my self very well(I do get paid 150smakers an hour for dj work at weekends)
but i do get into debt now and again and have to go to my mum to borrow a bit of money because my friends wont borrow me money because i allready owe them
My dad has never gave me anything tight as f**k i just borrow his landcruiser to go rallying which is cool.
I have to do all my work apart from washing and cooking thats were my lovely girl come in.
I get freinds to help with hard tasks i cant do.

Most of nottingham is houses and student flats there is like i said not many places to do trails a few little tiny places around but not much nothing really its crap(Iknow i live here
,There is 5 bmx tracks in all and 1 of them is good but not for tralis,1 has been just been done up but no riders will go there because there scared of getting robbed because its in a very dodgy location,There's a lot of steps i jump down but thats it really.
Like i said you can go to the country side and do some dirt jumping / xc /dh .
Just want a good location to go riding when im all ready.

Right when i finish my shooter im not really going to have any were to ride here(Nottingham)
There's really not many places here to do trails riding only about 4 suitable places that are very small,
There's only 1 decent bmx track aswell,
It's really lame here unless you ride to the countryside and do some dirt jumping / DH / XC riding.
Can anyone give me some good locations to visit to test out my skills?

Dougie Lampkin as allways inspired me i know its motorcycle but when i see him doing those things on a trails bike with a engine i think i must be able to do trails with no engine ?
This kid i used to know also inspired me to get into trails i was 15 he was about 10 but he was doing silly things and showed me a couple of things too.

I know the thing you need mate
I live in notts and this sort of thing happens loads everyday its a common normal day to day thing (but with guns not knifes
) and i hate it i have never had 1 bike stolen off me because im a bit of a psycho and have a lot of protection but thats not the point there evil muppets who need there next hit and most of the time there not going to stab you but probaly would because they dont care.
you need a JIF lemon bottle that you use for spraying lemon on your pancakes and you need to go to wilko's and buy some ammonia(open the bottle and smell it it should smell strong people use it for cleaning kitchens and bathrooms) then put the ammonia in the jif lemon bottle,
Bobs yer uncle you have legal cs gas that the police cant arrest you for,
Its proper,if a crack head comes up to you with a knife then spray him with the ammonia and he will not be able to see or breath for some time(no long term damage) and the best thing is you can spary about 10meters away from your target.
Now if you want to be really sick and evil then put the ammonia in a pan and boil it to half of what you put in,
now if you do this and spary someone in the eyes they will be blind for life
Now you dont have to do this but its bloody good protection,the reason i know this is that my dads an
outlaw(hells angle type)
and my uncle was in the SAS 
so i know alot of secert info.
