  1. The last time i encounted this problem i found my steerer tube to be slightly oval there for only gripping two points of the steerer tube thus being able to move which makes a creaking noise. It can sometimes happen by over tightening bolts, remember typical m6 bolts are only ment to be tightened to 8-12 Nm.
  2. Wrighty strikes again. How is the shin mate.
  3. That sounds like mine apart from i have never broke it and my physio says he dont know how its managed not to break. My bike is gathering dust got dam it.
  4. that sound like arthritis to me mate, but im no doctor
  5. i dont think so but ill retype what ive put just incase as some of you know i broke my collar bone on bulwell track at the begining of june, its almost healed and am really looking forward to getting back on my bikes but i have been seeing a physio and have found out that my ankle is in a really bad state so the day my collar bone is diagnosed as fixed i have to get my ankle manipulated and put into a cast for 6 weeks, the reason im telling you guys is that i have fell on my ankle a few times and never done anything about it and thought it was fine, this is not correct my cartelidge is griding and tendons torn and grew back in the wrong place thus making it very weak and susseptible to breaking, i cant stress enough if you have anything wrong with your ankles get it sorted now as if you leave it, a simple sprain turns into a break if left untreated, im lucky as my physio spotted it, maybee this was the case for deburg, (hope your doing well mate).
  6. here is a link to my post regarding ankles, some may find it interesting, http://www.free-riders.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=30074#30074

  9. the funniest thing is that ive been riding it for about 6 months now an not even a sign of cracks, bends or dents,
  10. its the sig frame the one ridden by Martin Hawyes if you google giant team trials you'll see my frame setup for trials, how stupid can you get the frame says it down the side in bright yellow writing what did giant design it for xc, not, just jealous your bike dont look that good, the only difference is that mines a newer version as on the original the brake mount kept snapping, and yes the geo is a bit different for trials but thats why i got it, its different and i like to try new and exciting things, bin out all day, did the 20 footer again well about 5-6 times ask nova666 he was there,
  11. yes but people are trying to say it wont last 5mins,
  12. i see mr wright, thats why its a hope build from years ago and its laced on to a hope bulb hub with splined spider the shorter one for the c2 brakes that have a mount attached hub and a brace bar to the brake boss one of the first hydro disc brakes out from hope got the front and back years ago, there that old the hubs have faded from hope matalic red to a pinky peach, the back wheel got replaced after that and i got a revolver on ex729 cd which i build my self and have had no probs at all, i still use the front wheel till this day and its running sweet as just changed the cartrige bearings, also its the 20mm threw axle converted for now, i have just received my new front revover 36 hole hubs and im going to make a matching one as the back, but ill have to see what it feels before changing for good
  13. yeah if you say so, must look right good with 2 spokes missing if you ask me thats funny, dent you make note of how many spoke holes you needed,
  14. here have a look http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/?op=list&fun...otouserid=75717
  15. since my bike setup has caused some what of a rukus online that ive made a poll, i leave it to the good people, http://www.ukdirt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=50542#50542
  16. he's right its best to destress the spokes first by bending um side to side (around each other), then true it again and repeat that until all the creeks and twangs have gone and your wheel is nice and straight. its not that easy as tightening up all the spokes to the same torque and its done because trailing and leading spokes are under diffirent tension.
  17. if you want to see vids of me doing big jumps and flying round bmx track in 30 seconds doing ever jump there is let me no
  18. if you find you do want to get a new chain sram pc991 hollowpin is a mtb and very strong i use one and it works brill, it run smooth and the drilled pins not only look good but save weight too, or theres the pc89r which is a road bike chain so i desgned to take a high amount of torque and pressure, this chain features link plates with machined holes in the middle which again saves weight but also makes it stronger, the down side to these chains is they are pretty expensive but you get great proformance, as you know your chain is only as strong as the weekest link an often it is the connecting link what lets you down, but with these chains the connecting link is as strong as all the other links will last the life of the chain unlike most connecting links,
  19. just before these brakes hit the market i got my mate a pair from abroad and the 3rd day of having them he over tightened the tpa and cross threaded it, his reason was because they come with the evo2, they have no shoulders to adjust so the resivours sit further from the rim, (this might be the same for double bolt mounts) so when he adjusted the tpa it traveled all the way down the thread and got jammed at the bottom then when he went to retract the pads with the tpa it cross threaded, i think that maybe the reason people are recking their levers as it is easily done.
  20. very very nice, is it a full bike (as it is in the pic) or just frame and how much,
  21. i wont, i can fix anything on a bike from truing wheels, replacing pistons in hydraulic brake systems to stripping down forks and degreasing, replacing bushes seal or simply changing the oil or setting the rebond (internally, anyone can simply change it if its external ), i built my bike up and service it my self plus im tryin to open my own bike shop but am struggling to get funding, anyone want any tips just ask
  22. wow, very usefull, very similor to my ways of building, verywell explained im sure to pass this sit on to friends, cheers
  23. try de egging a d321 ceramic, well i did jump, a full double lane road but failed to land smooth enough and put the biggest dink in the rim whilst snapping 4 spokes.
