  3. I ride stock and i have 165mm middleburns and they feel lovely. Nice and stable and plenty of power
  4. Are they any good for the front with a 183mm rotor as im thinking of getting one. What are they like to maintain?
  5. I have a megamo drilled rim and its strong as F%^* i neva bent it and i aint the softest of riders. Echo or the dx32 rims do seem good though
  6. If its a big frame then id say no. But if its small (14"or under) then would be ok with some changes to bits like brakes, stick a bashguard on and a small front gear, wheels, bars, stem, tires. MIte be cheaper to buy an Onza or something similar rather than spend on the carrera
  7. Id find a nice t-pro off ebay. Betta bits and they do ride ok. IMO. I started out on a stock bike and it felt wierd to ride a mod when I borrowed a mates. Mite be worth deciding wether you are gonna stay small and go mod or go stock before buying.
  8. Thats good then because i like spinning. Still hunting for a fixed rear hub with 36h rather than 32 that aint silly money. Anyone reckon this frame will help my riding after coming from the heavy tools?
  9. Cheers for the quick response. Just had a look at hubs but all the ones i can afford seem to be 32h and i was hoping to use my megamo rear rim. I`d kinda like to keep a rear freewheel.
  10. Thinking of buying a frame of fleabay to replace my ancient heavytools trials. Just wondering what sort of hubs i could use in the rear due to the frame. Anyone had much experience with the frame, how does it ride. Also what sort of gearing are people running. Cheers
  11. Sorry. Just read the How to get validated thread
  12. Hi want to put my bike up for sale but it says im not allowed, I guess this is because im still a newbie.
  13. Thanks people. Seems like everyone goes through this at some point then. Im looking to buy a new frame and fork setup soon so that will hopefully help. What does everyone reconmend?
  14. Personally id go for a rim break. Thats only because i prefer them, mainly because i think its hard to break them and when getting up things less chance of hitting them. Id go for magura, tried and tested.
  15. Ive been riding for years now but have noticed that over the last couple of years i haven`t really got any better, I mean the things i can do i can do better than i used to but i wanna learn new things. Any ideas on how to do this? Ive been told watching other people is a good way but I dont have alot of time to go out and ride with other people. Or is it my bike. Ive got a Heavy Tools trials, Always found that it suited me because im fairly tall. What to you guys reckon? Cheers
