Budget Bike

Hi guys - I'm Matt, new member here looking for a bit of advice for a budget bike seeing as I'm about to buy a bike for XC too.

Thinking around £300, had a look on Tartybikes.co.uk and the Onza Rip is looking good to me, but then again I know nothing.

Any advice on this bike or on any other around my budget of £300 would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Matt

hey welcome to da forum.

good starter bike nice to ride. prob won't last long though. my mate had the t-bird. only difference is the front disc.

i'd do the resurch and buy second hand personaly. or ad another £100 to you budget open your options.

I'd go for the yaaba 499.

The rip is an okay bike, will certainly be a good started bike.

But I would try looking in the ad-mag and thinking second hand....for £300 you can get some amazing deals.

But if you want brand new then I'd say the rip is a good start (Y)

With that post of yours I'm sure you may get validated soon. So maybe wait till then to look around the wanted section.

Or even look there now, and comment people or add there msn to talk about buying.
