crispyboy Posted September 21, 2009 Report Share Posted September 21, 2009 Hello everyone i have a problem with my new Echo sl snail cams.I set my wheel up fine the chain is tight and the wheel is central and then i do the bolts up.I go riding and the chain goes loose in a matter of minutes and the wheel moves.Anyone else ever had this problem ? George.E Posted September 21, 2009 Report Share Posted September 21, 2009 I have the same cams an i think i know what your problem is, when you turn the cam to gain tension make sure they are flat against the frame part. esfrost Posted September 22, 2009 Report Share Posted September 22, 2009 I had this problem, when i had aluminium snail cams, i had to put two washers on both sides of the frame, between the snail cams and the hub spacers. In this way i was able to tighten the hub bolts much more, it worked okay. Im running echo tr steel snail cams now, which is 10x times better than the alu ones, and now i dont use any washers, and the wheel stays still...
