Helicoiliiiing

I have an Adamant A3 with 3 mounts tapped to M6, the 4th mount is drilled through completely and uses a longer M6 bolt with a nut on the end. I would like to take the M6 mounts back to M5 with a helicoil, I know this can be done easily with a helicoil but i'm not sure what can be done with the 4th mount?

Thanks for any help,

For anyone who says just use a nut and bolt its not really working out too well thats why im asking this :)

Just leave the 4th mount for now, wait untill it strips.

People say helicoiling is stronger (it is) buuuut you gotta think... Thread the frame = Heli coil... Thread the helicoil = tapping it to a larger hole.

TL:DR Leave it un-coiled for now, got somthing to fall back on.

The M5 helicoil tap size is either 5.15mm or 5.20mm.

I would probabbly say no to helicoiling any of the M6 threads. Theres not really enough material left to tap. If you think about it, the top of the M6 thread will measure roughly 5mm, but the bottom of the thread will measure roughly 6mm.

I would say keep the M6 bolts in there.
