As a teen, I used to watch Martin Ashton riding his cannondale with the bright neon yellow magura's and I said to myself, when I grow up, I will have a set of those lol. I've since got hold of a few sets in varying states of repair, with a view to creating a good set from the best parts. I will be stripping, repainting and transfer decal'ing them, back to mint. I want to run stainless braided lines.. just for looks. Im on evolution mounts on canti lugs so I fully understand the pointlessness of the braided lines... I don't care though (man needs pimped lines). I've enquired with magura about the old braided line kit for the hs33 and they laughed at me in german. They found the requesting of dinosaur products, extremely amusing and had no answers for me. So my question is... has anyone clustered together a non magura braided line setup for their hs33's? If so, can they point me towards the fittings they used? I can get the line I need readily but the fittings allude me. I know I need m6 x 1mm and m8 x 0.75mm straight compression fittings but I can't seem to find the exact ones I need... ie: barb olive and compression nut etc... I know the magura braided kit came with a special conical end compression fitting for the m8 olive ports on the lever and slaves. It's doing my nut in! I need a magura veteran! A magura oracle!
