well I seen this on the section7 website, magura have decided to sort out a couple of the lever problems n redesign a couple of things. PS sorry if sommit posted about this before:

here is what section7 had to say:

After many years of minor evolutions - no pun intended - Magura have completely revamped the trials standard HS-33 rim brake. First of all, the slave cylinders, hoses and pads remain unchanged. Those of you running four bolt mounts and third party levers won't really see much of a change.

There is currently very little available news on the specifics of these new brakes. As soon as we know about piston diameters, availability and so on, we'll let you know first!

The first big change is the design of the lever. This lever now apes the MX lever (as used my Jeremy McGrath, amongst others) much more, as well as being similar to the Hope Pro lever. The big advantage of this design is that the lever effort is mirrored much more by the action of the piston, and is much more stiff. Not to mention compact. I hope this change will also mean less failures across the casting for the lever pivot bolt, but time will tell.

Magura have also taken this opportunity to redesign the TPA adjuster, making it much more compact and resistant to impact damage. Expect the function to be pretty much the same though.

For those of you running canti bosses, the other big innovation is the introduction of the Evo 2 mounting system. Running a similar device to the 2004 Magura RAT-Booster (designed for some 2004 Manitou suspension forks), the evo 2 mount has two big advantages over the current Evolution mounts. First it appears to do away with the elbows which were harder to set accuratley on the 2004 adapters, and it sets the position of adapters to be exactly parallel, leaving all the adjustment in the ball-and-socket join around the slave cylinder. It also acts as a huge four-bolt brake booster too which should aid brake feel. As you can see in the pictures, the QR function is preserved.

The actual adapters themselves are now symmetrical, which could cause a problem for those running superwide rims on a normal frame, or a narrower one on some more trials-specific frames.

All in all, a good general upgrade. As a lot of trials frames now feature four-bolt mounts, the full benefit of these changes may not be felt by everyone, but the new lever is pretty swish, and if Magura can supply them separately from the start then quite a few people may upgrade just to get the new levers....

What all you guys think then?
