gazmaz03 Posted May 23, 2005 Report Share Posted May 23, 2005 I would like some help please of all you V-brake users out there, I have had my XT for a while now and now it seems when I pull it in it makes a clicking noise like it is catching on the inside but i carn`t feel it. Jimbo Limbo (Trials Chimp) Posted May 23, 2005 Report Share Posted May 23, 2005 Is the clicking from the lever or brake end? It might need a new cable, or the linkage might need a good clean. Jimbo Limbo (Trials Chimp) Posted May 23, 2005 Report Share Posted May 23, 2005 Could be a number of things: The cable tension is too slack causing the big end bit of the cable to not sit in the holder The spring in the lever is loose/wobbly/come out of place The cable is frayed and the frayed bits are crunching in the cable end The bolt that holds the lever arm in is loose those are my best guesses anyway.
