Recommended Posts

There will be a training day for all new riders an beginners, aged 9-18yrs, on Sat 14th January at Thriftwood Scout park, starting at 1pm till around 4pm (or when the light goes, which ever is first)

Assistance will be from experienced riders and organisers.

This is open to boys and girls. You can bring your own bike, or there will be some available to use. Helmets are compulsory, again there will be some available if you dont have your own. Also make sure you have long trousers.

Cost is £5 for the afternoon.

For more info see www.thriftwood.org.uk or call 01277 212784 or 01277 210284

So if you or anyone you know would like some help getting started then this is the best way.

Please remember this is for new riders and beginners, this is not a training session for expert/elite riders, unless you want to help teach.

Hi

Thanks for the interest guys, sorry I couldnt answer the questions before the event.

You would not need insurance as that is covered by the £5 fee. (As it is held at the scouts park they cover the insurance)

The first event was a success. There were quite a lot of new riders there, some begginers and some that hadnt done any natural riding before.

There were two main areas, the pallet area near the entrance and a natural area just a little way from that in the woods.

The riders were split into groups so that each rider would get better coaching for their ability.

Danny and Ash Butler were there helping out and giving advice.

This event will be run every couple of weeks, so if you want to attend the next one then please contact www.thriftwood.org.uk or call 01277 212784 or 01277 210284 and get your name down!
