The most popular combo wold be Zoo bars and an Echo team stem, but i think Echo hifi high stem and the Tryall Rage bars look quite a cool combo.
-
Yeah i was well suprised when Charlie got validated considering all the arguments he has had on here. Back to topic, Clacton?

Theres a Clacton ride on the 21st of April, we are meeting at the peir at 10.00.
Just thought i would post it in NMC so new members could reply.

I think most people would say hydraulic brakes would be the best option. Your friend is right about them splitting etc, but they shouldn't leak for no reason.
With the Magura's you can get a variety of pads which work with ground rims, smooth rims and with or without tar. Most people would say a Magura + a ground rim + a set of decent pads would be alot better than a Vee brake but that is there opinion. But a Vee is alot easier to maintain.
Personally i would go with a set of Magura's, get a grind on your rim, and buy a set of decent pads.
-
It just gives that nice bit of bite and hold to the brake, just put 2 or 3 smudges on the rim and you should be fine, don't go over the top. Too much wont mess up your rim, you can always white spirit it off.

nice bike mate, red tyre is a bit odd compared to the bars though
still i cant talk because my old saracen bike looked like a rainbow and if my friends read this topic they will tell you it did aswell lol

I don't know anything about the Echo team but as for the long issue, i am about your height and just brought a Adamant A3 long (1030mm) and it really isn't an issue. I thought it would be too long but it isn't, it feels really nice.

Stop Changing my arangments we are getting the 9 train from Braintree and meeting at the castle. If you dont like it, ring me and come later.
Whats up with you lately, know ones changed the arrangements. Even if they did its not up to you, when and where we meet, there are other people riding apart from you.
-
Yea agreed on the 9 o clock train Marcus.

aaa good to see some new A3 riders about is it short or long?? had my long for about a month now...such a beast
Yeah ive just got the Adamant A3, i rode it once on some pallets then got tonsillitis the same day, so i have barely ridden it
But yeah really nice mate
P.S What length did you get your steerer tube on your forks cut down to?
-
Charlie, are you might want to get a bike sorted out for sunday unless you want to be walking all the way from north station.
From Braintree we are meeting at the station at 8:30 and getting the 9 train. And we have all agreed on that have we....? well im not botherd. Where in Castle park are we meeting?
-
yeh but 9 o clock isnt to early though is it, well lets see what everyone wants to do yeh, then we will take it from there.
Yeah but 10.30 is a good time to meet up with everyone, remember some people are coming from places that will take longer to get to colchester, we have to think of them. i think 10.40 at north station?
EDIT: Weather supposed to be nice sunday
-
Well if we get the 10.00 train that will get us there for 10.35
-
Right let me sort this out.
Sunday 1st April, 10.30 ish, colchester north station.
How does this sound to everyone?
-
Its all sorted now.
-
IL be there, Ive got my new Adamant, i love it absolute beast. But i have tonsillitis , hopefully IL be aright for Sunday.
-
Hi I'm putting my Adamant A3 together and there is a gap between the top of my forks and the bottom section of my headset, Ive tried pushing the forks up more but they won't. If someone knows what i need or what i can do it wold be very appreciated.
