  1. I wouldn't mind having the link if your offering My msn and main email address is chris_pantling@hotmail.com
  2. Hey this is gonna sound really upfront but maybe one day we could hook up and show me the trials scene.
  3. Is it better to learn to get up using the pedal kick rather than the endo? When i tried to do it with the pedals I found that once I pulled the brake the bike would just fall back forwards onto the front wheel. Just to make it easier which gear should i use? I have 3 gears at the crank and 8 on the rear wheel.
  4. You don't have the right codec's to run it. My recommendation is to download the VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) it has most of the codecs needed and it works for me when windows media player won't.
  5. Hi i'm trying to get up onto the back wheel but i noticed when i pull up i always tend to go from 50-50 with the pedals to having my right foot at 6 o'clock and my left foot up at 12. What am i doing wrong? Also is 'backhop' hopping on the spot backwards or hopping on the back wheel?
  6. Hey im jst wondering if there are any riders on here that ride around sutton or the naighbouring areas? If so it woul dbe cool to hook up some time so where and how u ride etc. p.s. Sutton, Surrey in the south east
  7. Is carburetor cleaner effective at cleaning up the brakes. Ive heard from a few people it is good at cleaning and making it sharper.
  8. Right let me just see if i got this right -No white spirit -No petrol -Nothing oil based +An alcohol cleaner.. +water ~heating then cooling but may weaken the rotor The coke hasn't damaged anything permanently has it? pardon my lack of knowledge.
  9. I have this spray can stuff from halfords but i dont know if its a cleaner. It has a hyped up title like "Ultra performace spray". I'll just stick to good old water and a rough sponge. I also have something called "Muc-Off" it thats any good?
  10. Cheers guys for the responses. I'm going to rub the rotor with white spirit and then wash the pads and rotor with water for a few hours to make sure everything is off. Does that sounds like a good idea?
  11. I bought a new avid juicy 5 '05 rear brake the other day and it is in the process of bedding in still (i think) but a friend i met at the park said putting cola on it would make it sharper which it did but at the expense of an insanely loud noise whenever i use it. I know it was stupid to let him do it but i didn't think it would hurt too much. Anyway how can i clean the coke off get rid of the noise. Also if anyone knows how i can make it sharper without fizzy drinks it would be great
  12. Thanks for the quick replys guys ill definatly try your tips out when im practicing later on. Once i've mastered, within reason, the trackstand what should i attempt next.
  13. I was out yesterday for a few hours and was primarily practicing my trackstand. I managed to improve it and can balance for upto 7 seconds if i'm lucky. I also feel i'm not doing it properly because i have to move forwards more than a few inches at times and im really jerky with the movements. So i think i've found out where i'm going wrong but i would really appreciate some pointers from you guys: My chocolate foot's my left one so i turn the handle bars to the right but i turn the wheel almost 80-90'(degrees) and then i fall sidewise. When this happens what should i do?
  14. Reading another thread i thougth id post more info. Live in sutton surrey ride mainly at a small bmx park in rosehill. I have a saracen mantra two with standard gear and am jst using it to start out, if i get better ill probably invest in the proper kit. Thinking about upgrading the front brake but im not sure which ones best within a £100 price limit.
  15. Hey i'm chris i jst turned 16 and decided to take up trials riding. Been trying to learn the basics for a few days now and welcome any tips you guys got to offer on where to start. Im also keen on going upto south end to watch some of the pros ride maybe get some tips from 'em.
