  1. Don't see why not. As has been said, proportionately strong and technique is what matters
  2. It will alter how the bike rides, i'm not sure tilting where effects what but i know there is big changes in terms of comfort. I would say its down to personal preference and where you find them comfy to ride with. Try using the search, it should come up with some information for you
  3. I would say that a person of heavier weight who is not fat will be just as able as someone lighter. I am saying this because muscle weighs three times more than fat so if someone if naturally heavier or work out they will be heavier in muscle therefore still in proportion to their overall body weight, so in theory will still be able to throw the bike about. If someone is heavy due to fat they are disadvantaged obviously. And a thin person will be disadvantaged if they have a lower body weight but no muscle therefore they are out of proportion but the average thin guy would be fine. So i'd say as long as you healthy and not overweight due to fat or under-nourishment you'll be fine either way. And to lose weight: Eat healthily, excercise and sleep a lot! But only if you were overweight due to fat, you can put on weight in muscle and become healthier. To put on weight: Eat high protein foods, and get in the gym! I'm starting to confuse myself now, but hope that makes sense
  4. I'm riding an Onza t-bird just now. That's a good vid, some really good riding aswell. We need to stop chatting on here now, chat's for msn!
  5. I've been riding for a week on a trials bike, but been practising trackstanding etc on a mountain bike for about a month before that.
  6. That is really good advice! I will definitely be using it! Out of interest how long did it take you to be able to be fully controlled and comfortable hopping on the back wheel. I'm starting to get it after a week so hopefully be padal kicking in no time! And keep posting like that and you'll be validated soon
  7. I currently have the kool stops on a smooth rim and they are terrible, so a grind really can make all the difference? I think i'll do as MikeCottTrials said. Thanks for all the help
  8. This might help Click here Just wondering, is there ever any rides in glasgow? I'd love to get to one to try and pick up some tips and skills for learning quicker!!
  9. Krel why did you copy that 5 times in the same post? Seriously man what is your point? Your just on here to cause trouble He's already been reported so he'l be banned soon
  10. I would have bought reds but i couldn't afford them So had to settle for blues Edit: I know there is pad review topic but i really need the info as to which is better when compared, as i am unsure whether to do the grind or not, as zoos wear too fast on the grind so don't want to make a mistake.
  11. I've used nail polish remover (acetone) 5+ times on cpu's and have come across no side effects from doing so. Just make sure you use a lint free cloth coaked very lightly in the nail polish remover and only you on top of cpu, try to avoid getting it on the sides. Then leave to dry and apply your new paste
  12. I need some view on what would be best to run on my rear set-up. My choice is between running Zoos with smooth rim or Heatsink blues with ground rim? I have both, i just need to know which combination to put on the rear. I need to know which will have best bite/hold. Thanks
  13. Not a review. But what would you guys choose to run on the rear between Zoos on smooth rim or heatsink blues on ground rim? Thanks
  14. Works fine here. A couple of things to try: 1) If you have a broadband modem or router try switching it off or re-setting it 2) Try re-booting computer 3) If you are using another browser eg. Firefox, try using internet explorer 4) Try deleting all cookies and clearing internet temporary files. 5) Check your browser settings for any settings that have been accidentally changed. If all that fails just keep trying to get on the page, it should work eventually.
  15. OK thanks everyone. I guess the thing to do is just get a grinder or one from a mate! I'll try giving it a shot. Also whilst this topic is recent how many grinds could be expected out of a new Onza t-bird rear rim before the sidewall is too thin? And is a light grind best? Actually i think it's time for a search..... Thanks for the help
  16. Explain your problem in more detail and proper english then people will be able to help you out. After spending about 10 minutes trying to figure out what you wrote all i can see is something about an old brake and a new one. There's no description of the problem??? Get some more detail in and people will help.
  17. I don't have an angle grinder and can't afford one just now. I know they may not cost very much to you but i have just spent quite a bit on my bike and parts. So please no replies like "just buy a grinder". I need to know if a rim can be given the same effect as a light grind using something like a metal file or a stanley knife etc? Thanks
  18. I read a topic over on the american site, observedtrials.net that said you should try and force yourself to learn how to sidehop to the other side as you can go higher, and with less restrictions. Here you go: http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=22858
  19. You probably won't know until its looked at technically but just incase, do you think it will be back up tonight? Thanks
  20. I can't get onto it tonight, i was going to place an order for some pads but the website isn't working. I was on it this morning so don't know what' happening. Anyone else unable to get on it?
  21. I take it you mean keeping the front wheel in the air letting it drop then picking it up again? And how many pedal strokes and what size of stroke were you using? Thanks for all the help
  22. Mike did you use both methods? I'm trying to figure out which one would be better, i am using both just now so i get the best of both. I am still pretty uncontrolled but i can feel my balance coming better as i am managing more hops now.
  23. I ride alone also and its makes learning so dam hard! Glad i helped you with my 'video'. Another help would be going to www.totalvid.com and downloading "Mastering the Art of Trials" by Ryan Leech for a small fee, a couple of dollars i think! It gives you a week's license to watch it. The video is very good in showing the techniques needed to learn and progress. Or you could buy the dvd, up to you. It is very helpful. Good luck with the riding, Scott (same names!)
