  1. not yet i am gettin my frame back today and building it at the weekend, my mates (camo god of a bike) still needs the matt lacquer put on but once built his bike is gunna look the 'trialzizzle bam hop kick wack'!!!
  2. hey anyone got any pimpin bike parts? valve caps, saddles, tires??? share the pimpness!!! also any links to sites that sell off the wall parts!!!
  3. I have just sprayed my frame (1st time and it turned out pretty good) I nitromorsed the paint off (evil!!! stuff I love it!!!) I hung the frame up in my back garden on the washing line by putting a shoelace down the seat tube, into the BB tube clipped on a peg, wrapped & tied the shoelace and it was ready to spray. I brought some grey prima from Halfords and some very fine grade wet an dry sand paper from BnQ, Rough the frame up a bit with sand paper (helps the prima stick) Then held the can 6inchs from the frame and in short burst run moved the can in a rocking motion. (E.g. push spray & slide -----------> stop spraying, push spray & slide<---------- stop spraying ECT.) The paint shouldn’t be thick on the frame. NOTE!!! Lots of light coats, NOT!!!! 1 big thick coat. I gave the paint a quick rub down between the coats to help the next coat stick. Then it’s just down to your design using the same technique. I put down a burgundy undercoat cut out some stencils using sticky back plastic, stuck them on, and then sprayed a pearl white top coat. Let it dry for about a week then pealed off the stickers leaving the burgundy to shine on through. Looks pretty sh*t hot I sprayed my mates bike in a camo look using 3 colors and just randomly spraying spots on (looks better then mine that turn out good then we just stuck stickers on top of that. The one thing I didn’t do was the lacquer I took that to a little place near where I live who is lacquering it as we speak ))) with some crazy hard nutter... airplane lacquer stuff. (£20) (I did lacquer my forks using shop lacquer, looked good but is still soft after about a month and chipped) ill post a pic once it comes back from shop. oooooooh this sat!!!!! well that was my 1st experience and learnings of spraying a bike hope it helps. p.s. if you spray to heavny and the paint runs. dab it off, let it dry fully! then wet and dry it smooth. and make sure there is no dust or hairs before your spray as the show up big time!
  4. hey, im pretty new here myself but just so you know if you click on the members link in the grey at the top of the screen. from there you can search for a member and email if the options there for that user. from the looks of it newbies cant send personal messages. but just so you know i have copy/pasted your post directly into an email. (had to check i newbies could send emails and didnt want to send a blank) so he does know you are after the bike but use that link if you want to get hold of him.
  5. Right the story so far, When I was when I was 15 my brother got a tape (tricks and stunts) this tape got handed around his friends like a naughty magazine one of mates stole from their dad secret staff. I finally got round to watching it and I was hooked!!! Everyday it would get watched. I took it down to my parents, sat them down, made them watch it and said “I want a bike like that for Christmas”. I ended up getting a 16"ridgeback (it done me just fine I managed to persuade them to let me ride in the back garden before Christmas, where I had the front wheel on the nearest step and tried to hop "using those leg muscles you've never really used before" Now after a stupid 4-5year gap I am building a trials bike. (starting with Giant Hayes Replica Frame) Any suggestions on great Trials DVDS/ Video?
  6. cheers i take a look a some. cheers for the advice but its kind of a street/ trials. need it to get around too.
  7. hey i am currently building a trials bike and have a Raceface northshore 5 bolt arm. i have been looking everywhere for a 5bolt 32t E-thirteen ring but i don't think they exist. i have heard that a 5bolt 34or 36t ring can be fitted to a 32t? is this true? also any other suggestions for a bash ring would be greatly appreciated . (i did have an DMR ring thing lying around but this doesn't fit the raceface) word!
  8. nice one!!! thanks for that link as i havnt riden for 3-4 years and wast too hot when i was riding this wi9ll help out loads. cheers
  9. I’m riding a giant Hayes replica. Bought it second hand, its now been stripped and I have sprayed it myself (1st time spray) it actually looks quite good. Pearl white with burgundy red pinstripe. Plus I love animal branding so had to get a couple of logos and a stencil animal along the frame. It’s going to be my 1st fully loaded bike. The dream bike loaded with the parts that used to make me drool when I 1st started, and watched tricks and stunts for the 1st time, riding my ridgeback 16" frame Now I haven’t been riding for about 3-4 years so I’m going to have to start from scratch. I managed to get hold of a cheap Chris king rear hub on eBay and since then I have just been building my perfect trials/ street bike. Month by month it comes one step closer. It is having the final coat of lacquer put on this week and then he’s going to be ready to build!!! I don’t know how much longer I can look at those sexy atomlab PIMP rims and race face northshore crank!!! And all the rest!!! Its all just been waiting there patiently. but soon it will be time and when that time comes.... I’m going to realize how I cant actually do any thing anymore Ill posts some pics of him once he’s built and I figure out how to post pics. Once I figure that out ill post the pics of my mates bike I sprayed--- camo with gold hope hubs and headset. it is sex on wheels (I actually had to make him take it out of my house because I couldn’t stop looking at it then looking at mine and feeling a little gutted) Right I thinks that’s long enough. Time for me to go back to being bored at work
