  1. So fine can’t sell items in the beginner forum area, understandable, then where? The links sent to me about the rules tell nothing of alternatives so you can imagine how helpful that was, thanks! If you have not been validated then use of this site is pretty much worthless. Validation is slow and not very promising for individuals who use this site as a reference and without that doing much of anything is difficult. Of all the forums out there THIS one defiantly is by far the least beginner friendly which is sad for those trying to attract new riders. My hat off to the fearless leaders of this forum who apparently know best. Seems to me there might be some underlining control issues judging by the organization of which this is set up, good luck with that!
  2. I've been working on wheelies and track standing. Track standing I can do for some time however I can not do it without rotating my front tire. My balance left to right seems pretty bad and prevents me for work on more advanced moves. Again I am unable to do wheelies not because I can't control my lateral movements but I can't get a gI have no issues with balance front to back as if I was in a wheelie position or an pogoing around. Any suggestions on ways to improve this problem. Thanks Steve
  3. I"ve thought about using tape but question with that is it sticky side down so it is exposed through the holes to collect trash or do I double it up?
  4. HI, I recently purchased a set of echo rims and as you know they have huge holes drilled out in their centers. What are other people using as rim tape for these guys. Thanks Steve
  5. I'm thinking of building a set of wheels for trial riding, any suggestions on hubs? I had planned on using Echo's any thoughts, thanks Marek
  6. Through a series of events and interacting with other forums I got in touch with Jeremy VanSchoonhoven who to the best of my knowledge is a pro trials rider in the USA, he was selling his Adamant A1 frame with only just a couple weeks of use on it. There are some scratches but from the pictures it seems structurally sound. I guess my thoughts are given his level of riding does it seem worth wild to purchase this frame from him, and second even if you were to purchase a used frame and regardless if it came with cracks or you later damaged it (I know it depends on what sort of damage was done) wouldn't it still be covered under some sort of warranty? Thanks
  7. Curious what you would suggest for a frame then in place of the planet X's one I listed above. I'm looking at running 26inch wheels. I guess being that I'm just starting out I was hoping to find something reasonably priced. I know frames can get pretty expensive. I appreciate the advice guys. Also that 350 prices I listed was in USD
  8. HI, I'm in an opportunity to purchase a planet x ali bongo frame and superlight planet x fork. However I know that this frame and fork has been ridden hard. The previous owner has stated that he has taken some 8 foot drops on this and being fairly new to all this do you think that it would be alright. He says that its in good condition, normal wear marks but no cracks, etc. I've not been able to see it. I wanted to know if 350 is a good deal, and from those who have ridden hard how do you think its held up so far. Thanks
  9. For those of you who are riding 26 inch wheels I'm curious if you happen to know the length of your fork. I was looking at getting a Planet X superlight and it comes in a 400mm and 420. Any thoughts? Thanks
  10. In regards to the 24 inch tires what I was thinking of doing was getting like a small 13-14 inch frame and using that as my starting point. I think that it should be small enough to accomodate 24 inch tires. I know this will not be a true mod bike, probably more like a stock rig (correct me please if I'm not using these terms right) but it would provide a great range of mobility as compared to something with 26 inch wheels. I appreciate the responses.
  11. I'm just curious as to why a wheel size of 24 inches is never mentioned. Would it not be a good combination of both worlds? I had wanted to build a bike with 24 inch wheels but they don't seem very popular, any particular reason? Cheers
