just found this and had a bit of a giggle

the coke can bodge is for worn square taper cranks check the wiki
i think "bigmac" wrote it
-
it all depends on the ring sizes
best thing to do is to lose the 3 "top" rings the biggest ones, that way you will still be able to pick up some speed
also what tooth sprocket are you running up front?
with trials you will want to keep the chain as short as possable to eliminate "chain slap" with a long chain it can come of the sprockets
yes a rear mech with help but keeping the chain short will help alot more

i like my hope mini with a 160mm rotor
good grip with a decent bleed and a good rotor
im running the 160mm saw rotor
did try bigger disks had a 203mm for a while but just didnt get on with it
best thing to do is to try different ones
try and have a go on a few peoples bikes and see what theres is like...

I'll double check the chain line, may well be off.
Photo as requested -
the chain doesnt seem to fit mate
cant see it stretching that much think you might have the wrong chain
i had a similar problem on a rear sprocket
i would see about chainging you chain, it just doesnt look right
-
Pretty much, though you will need to screw the adjuster screws in on the mech to stop it shifting over the top cog and into the spokes and the same with the smallest cog.
there will be 2 screws on your mech to stop it shifting to far up and to far down
you cant do anything about the shifter the cable will just go slack after you shift down
-
Edit Poll
paint it or keep it silver
-
I'm guessing the sprockets worn?
2nd that mine did it with a new chain seemed to hold the chain on the sprocket
get a new sprocket, that should solve your problems - dont forget to check the rear sprocket too though

electric cars take at least 3 hours to charge and dont have amazing run time
nitros only have to cool down then they are ready to go again as long as you have fuel
i have an hpi savage monster truck and a lighting pro 2 both top out at over 40 mph and are soo much fun
have a look on ebay for some of the best deals new and used
-
looks nice
like the white looks pimp
-
im using blue plaz pads on an echo rim and they are awsome i find them to be better than a grind
-
looks nice
not sure on the green stem...
-
only way to find out is to ride one
go to a local ride and try a few bikes see what you like then decide on what to buy

danny holroyd
not seen a vid from him for ages

Edited - new pics

try watching some videos
watching the techneique makes it easier to understand how some riders get soo much hight
your bike setup can also make alot of difference mainly bars and stem
-
Just out of interest, why on earth do you want 40mm wide echo rims on a specilised P3?
think its a street/trials build
on the vee brake issue think the rim will be too wide i ran into a few issues with running a dx32 in a p3 when setting up for a friend
best thing to do is to use a front rim as there narrower only other thing to do is run a disk on the rear
-
nice bike there looks like new
on the question of selling it i would start bids at £500
-

Why Can't I Find 22t Bash Guards?
in Beginners Trials Chat
Posted · Edited by maxxis26
22 toothcranks are hard to find in trials
middleburn do a bash with a 20 tooth chainring
if your using non trials cranks try and find a "dmr ring thing" for a bash
its a steel bash ring they come in 4 and 5 bolt fitting
ebay is the best bet
