  1. oi whats wrong with corsa's

i got a 1.2 ls and its alright.

i think they look the mut nuts when they are done up tastefully.

your just jelous you you all want a corsa.

    purple ones for the win.

    simon

lmao! (Y) terrible cars. handle like shite, slow as you like (1.2 develops 44bhp if i remember correctly) engine is un-refined and rough (im referring to the old corsa B's, modern 1.2's and SXI seem better)

  2. i want to be focusing on my biceps and forearms so if anyone could tell me the best techniques to build them using barbells or dumbells please let me know.

    cheers danny

    no triceps then?

thats one of the biggest mistakes made by beginners! they overtrain biceps and completely neglect triceps, which causes injury. biceps are one muscle, and account for 1/3rd of your upper arm, triceps make up the other 2/3rds compromising of three seperate muscles, which are a harder to build than biceps. Have a look at some of the training splits on the LA muscle website (Y)

    link

and like alexx said, it all means nothing without diet!!

  3. BTEC National diploma in manufacturing is not really practical based at all, 3 hours per week in the first year, none in the second year and the maths, science etc is the same as A-level

  4. lol... its mad isnt it! people think that cos im muscly and in good shape, that i am super fit etc.. but i can barely swim a whole length of my local swimingpool!!

same here, i struggle doing half a length!

another reason not to train legs is they use up protein, and stop it reching other areas where it is needed more such as arms, chest etc

  5. your muscles can only store creatine for very short periods of time (a matter of seconds during a workout) and creatine supplements are supposed to prolong the bursts, helping you to keep going for longer. the only high creatuine supplement i have ever used is maximuscle 8000gl, but as with all supplements, dont expect what the sticker on the container says. eating more high fat cold water fish such as salmon is a good way to increase creatine levels :-

  6. steroids are only said to be bad because the goverment have spread bad roumors about the stuff to put people off... Just like Magic Mushrooms!!! what actual harm do they do?! :-

erm...let me think....hair loss, kidney damage, liver damage, severe achne (most commonly on the back) lower sperm count, can lead to mood swings/behaviour problems..... thats about all i can remember off the top of my head

so yeah, no harm done at all B)

i dont now much about the mr universe contests, but natural body builders are heavily drug tested (hence why companies like maximuscle, weider, york etc carry out drug tests for banned substances on all supplement batches)

and terror-error, i would love to see you lat pull down 20 reps on 110 kg (thats at least 40kg more than your body weight), you wouldn't manage 1, i dont give a shit how strong you say you are, the heaviest i do is 10 reps on 63kg (and that isnt particuarly easy)

  7. I liked the old Top Gear, not the new one where everyone stands round worshipping Clarkson and racing 'celebs' round an abandoned airfield in a Hyundai. But it's ok, I don't have a TV so I can't accidentally switch over to it.

    *Suzuki ;)

  8. I go to the gym 5 times a week, been going for the last 5 months now

5 times a week is too much really, as you can't possibly be taking a rest day after each workout. for some strange reason, people think working out every day is god for them (Y) i workout 3 times a week, wednesday friday and sunday, working different muscle groups each day (eg triceps, chest, shoulders on wednesday, then biceps, back etc on friday)

as for the supplements, there is no point in taking them unless you are serious about your diet and your workouts. i could talk about it for ages, but it gets quite complicated. packing on loads of muscle isnt realy a big help for trials (my stamina has got worse since i started working out properly) which is becuase you gain mass, which in turn causes your body to burn more energy. you cant have both, which is the reason why long distance runners are built like twigs (to prevent their bodies burning excessive amounts of energy which cannot be replenished during a race) wheras 100 metre sprinters are huge (to give them a massive power surge for a short period of time)

i started using maximuscle a year ago (creatamax 800GL) but stopped due to the expence, then went suplent free for a while, and now i'm using Weider muscle builder

  9. Bike stand is good. I made a minted one for gcse, it was a complete copy of the park tool prs15 :-

    I have some piccys somewhere.

Hmm, other than that I've no idea. I'll have to start thinking too soon I'm doing the same course..

    (Y) just the kind of idea i needed! see if u can find the pics :P

  10. ive just started the 2nd year of my BTEC national diploma, and i need ideas for my IVA project. needs to be mechanical, as i hate electronics! (Y) i was thinking of a brake booster, but my lecturers moaned about it, and i cant think of anything else! it cant be too complicated (needs to be done within 20 weeks)

    anyone have any ideas???
