  1. yah i have the same problem with my zoot mate but its a nice bike B)

The only other 24" rims are really for dirt bikes..... can the Spank Oobah Stiffy rims be drilled anyone???

    Thanks Seb (Y)

hey mate i phoned up today asking about them and they as light as mavics, but im not sure if u cud drill them!!!

and the zoot is a sweet bike but annoying to get parts for!!

  2. On this note, sorry to kind of steal the thread...although this was made about a week ago, so I'll make some use from it. Something which caught my attention when walking around the bikes in toys r' us (haha). Selling full face helmets for kids...don't get me wrong, promote the safety and all that, but They were made especially for 'kids'.

I don't imagine 'kids' throwing themselve down tracks all over the country like (ideally) what a full face helmet is for...or dirt bmx or whatever.

So, kid riding along at a walking pace...falls off a kerb or something, the weight of this helmet will more than likely be heavier than his head...thus probably breaking his neck or other spinal injuries. All where a normal lid would suffice?

I don't exactly agree with it, but I suppose the purpose of this helmet is aesthetics over function.

mate i agreee my brother has one, wel had one i got him a little giro helmet becasue its stupid a 8 year old boy learning trials ona little monty with a cheapy ful face helmet on!! but i do agree with wat u say!!

couldn't be something to do with your mate's head being a different size from yours then?

xc helmets are gay - pisspots *** :P

pisspots are usless, i used to try wearing them for freeride and it never stayed on my head, and i got the correct size, so i got a tidy xcross helmet, there light and comfie!! :P

  3. wel last night i was trying to learn a crankflip over a gap, and i was almost gettin it until my front wheel dipped down to much and i went over the bars head first. as i landed-on my head-my Giro Xen cracked and snaped inside and outside of the helmet!! so i was forced in to using my mates 661 dirt lid and its the worst helmet ever it doesnt hold ur head in it at all it jumps around all over the place:

so the reason for this topic is to see what you like better is it Giros or dirt lids or do some people not wear a helmet?

    Cheers (Y)

  5. without a question THE best 24" rims out there are Spank Oobah Stiffy rims. They are the strongest, stiffest, most dent resistant rims ever made!! not heavy either! a nice width too at 40mm. Go and look on Wiggle.

i just had look at them, they look nice. thanks thats the rims im getting!!!

  6. ok well for a while now i have been wanting to change my rims on my zoot for a while, and its annoying me  because i cant find any gd ones!! so someone PLEASE help me find a set or tel me where to look for them! if i cant find them ill have to get my wheels straighted then sell the bike and get a stock!!
