  1. Hey all I've just got back into riding (it seems to be a winter thing for me) and i thought what better way, than to start off again with a group ride somewhere. I know not many people (if any) will know me here, seeing as all the riders in my area have quit But, is anyone interested in a ride around the farnborough/basingstoke area sometime next saturday? I'm not going to be at any good standard, but just meeting up with other riders will be an awesome help, and inspiration Cheers, Steve
  2. I couldn't agree more, although, at least we can help the younger people at a younger age to inspire more people.
  3. I would have thought that using water allows the lever to come in too far, i like my le ver to stop and lock without play. If it does that then it'll save me a whole lotta money.
  4. I have this problem too, my body and the bars stay central, but the wheel just moves around me which means i often fall off. I found that constantly practising on a plank helped me to keep the wheel central by trying not to fall off, but incase you do, it's all good... Steve
  5. HAHA, except it wouldn't be rednecks. Anyways, i don't think i looks THAT bad actually, not that i would do that to my bike. Steve
  6. Ha, nice, Is that Dave's new toxsin frame? I haven't beeen riding with you for ages ignore me. I didn't actually read the ECHO written on the side.
  7. sounds good to me. I went last year because it was on my birthday; it's a cool event. Love the demo's lol Steve
  8. i find 22:18 quite nice but you have either side. Personally i would go for a lighter one (19t) because i find it easer with a lower gear.
  9. ok... 8th feb sounds good to me, anyone else interested?

  11. Do these chains fit 8-9 speed? Just wondering because i keep sapping my chain. Steve
  12. That sounds like pretty good idea to me, although in the hols you might aswell open it everyday. I reckon there should be a skatepark too, because that attracts loads of peope. Steve
  13. I got my t-rex spec 2 off of the insurance, and the only change i have made is a try-all back tyre, and stainless steel hoses. The bike works a teat for me. Steve

  18. through my kayak club, we found a government youth fund... if you apply at the end of the year, you usually have a good chance of getting the money leftover. I'm sure that this plan would count as it is mainy for youth, or youth at heat (no offence meant) Steve
  19. sounds like a right laugh... i'm interested. Seriously though, comparing curbs, whatever next (the pics look like much better curbs than we got) Steve
  20. I think you might have a little business opportunity here, don't you?
  21. i started last january aged 14 and then about a week later broke my wrist in rugby. Started again in 3 months and broke my bike so i gave up. I recently started again in about october on my 15th birthday and loved it since then Steve
  22. i would reccomend 661 comp gloves. They're simple but they have thin palms but are surprisingly warm.
  23. i would definately use it and attend as much as possible. To be honest a tenner does't sound expensive to me, and i would definately try to get to some comps.
  24. next weekend sounds good to me, can you update us if you find out if your friends are coming?
