  1. Haha, go on, knock yourself out!! You will be amazed if you do it correctly... I forgot to say that the more times you go over the smae place, the shinier it will get!!! CJ..
  2. Hi people Thanks for all your interest in my topic, as I am wanting a new frame anyway, I might just use some chemical metal which my dad has to bodge it in until I have the funds for a new one? What you all think? How long ago did you get your new frame Trialspaz? Oh and just for the record... I never blamed it on you Wayne lol. I might still see if I can find an oversized bb from somewher though. CJ..
  3. Hi mate, As someone has already stated, use nitromose to remove the paint from the component. Or you could alternatively have it sand blasted ( not bead blasted or this leaves really deep ingrains which are difficult to sand out and get smooth. ) Believe me I know form past experiences! To polish the part (aluminium), I would use a metal polish called Autosol, this can be bought from most petrol stations or almost any auto shop. It is in a black and gold box and is like a tube of toothpaste. Squeeze a small bit onto a clean rag and begin rubbing it into the metal fairly hard. (concentrate on one area at a time!) The white cream will go black if it is aluminium, once it's gone black, take another clean rag and wipe it off, keep doing this until the whole thing is like a mirror!! . It takes a while to do this but if you have the patience your bike will look so so nice.. Hope I have helped.. CJ..
  4. Yeah I heard, but surely Aire Valley should have known about this and said something before selling me a normal bottom bracket.. CJ..
  5. Hi there fellow members. I have a T-pro, I bent my bottom bracket so went to Aire Valley and got a new one fitted. They said that it felt asif it was stripping the threads as he was tightening it. . I was out in town today and noticed that it was loose (half of drive side cup was showing.) I went back to Aire Valley as it was around the corner to ask to have it tightened. They took it downstairs and I was informed that my bottom bracket threads were stripped!!! Supposedly there was a bad batch of T- pros made and they all did this.? The threads were made bigger in the frame I have or something so a normal bb thread is too fine.. I was given the number for Super cycles and was advised to call them and tell them what has happened and they should replace it. Although I could do this, I would imagine the whole process would take a while... That would mean missing out on riding, can anyone think of a way to make it work?? I was told to use loctite to put it in, I was thinking of using chemical metal as I want a new frame I just don't have the funds for it yet. Any information appreciated.. Cheers CJ..
  6. Oright mate, I reckon you would get about £550 like i said earlier lol, will talk to you tomorrow xxxxx luv you lol xxxxx CJ..
  7. Mint, I'm Carl, the one that had the T-Mag but I have a T-Pro now too, so is there any chance of you getting me a contact number or name of business for the annodising please??? It was'nt Red's dad by any chance was it??? CJ..
  8. Ok, I'll bare that in mind, I didn't know the real name but I knew what I meant, I was only trying to give advice... CJ..
  9. If you need to get your ENO off the crank but the tool wont do it, follow my instructions if it's knackere anyway mate.. if they make sense to you that is lol. CJ..
  10. If this is still any use, I know how to do it but it means dismantling the freewheel and it will not be re-usable...?? 1.There will be 2 small punch holes on the freewheel, get a punch or if must, use a screw driver and a hammer, place the punch in the hole and hit it clockwise with the hammer ( opposite threads ). 2.The cover will come off, lift up the freewheel, all the gubbings such as the bearings, pawls and springs will fall out so have a tub handy to put them into. 3. I would clean all the grease off the bit that will be left on the wheel/crank. You must have a big vice for this bit, if the vice is too small it will slip out. Place the wheel/crank in the vice on the remainder of the freewheel. You also need muscles to do this part too lol. These threads are standard thread direction (anti-clockwise), you need to pull on the crank/wheel until it comes loose, then remove it from the vice and thats it. Easy really unless you want to keep the freewheel which you are removing. Cheers, hope I made sense and helped you.. CJ..
  11. Ok mate, does he have a proper company for doing this or just do it for people he knows?? Would there be any chance of you getting me a contact number or name of the business??? Cheers..CJ.. Oh, just looked at your profile, you know red... I ride with him every day when he's in Silsden, I take it you're fom Cowling?? What's your name??
  12. Hi mate, I don't think that wire wool will work for taking a grind off as it doesn't remove metal, you could use it to rmeove the paint from your forks though... If I were you I wouldn't bother removing the paint, I would buy some lighter forks such as Echo Lites, these are about £75 from tartybikes but improve the ride of the bike by miles... Hope I helped CJ..
  13. Hi mate, I don't know about an ENO fitting because of the flange things that stick out to remove it... I would have thought that a Tensile one would fit though as I have one and you use a bb tool to remove them, this means that they aren't as wide as other freewheels such as an ENO or a Try-all... Hope that made sense and helped lol Cheers CJ..

  22. I was doing a rail gap from a wall the other day, it's about 3.5 ft-4 ft high. I told my mate to video, as I turn hopped he shouted, "Wait there's a car coming!". I panicked as it was the first time doing this rail gap and the front end dropped into the gap and i went over the bars. I put my hands out as you do but my finger caught most of the fall as I landed with just one finger on th rail for some reason . Luckily I didn't break it and was just bothered about if my mate had it on camera, he said NO!! CJ..

  25. He has more chance of being validated than you for this topic mate as he is using correct English, using capital letters and punctuation, something you haven't done.. I think it would be a good idea but like he said, there must be a reason for not having one..? CJ..
