  1. Yeah it felt great! I was so pleased that it actually worked that time.
  2. Thanks for all your help guys i've done it! I found some oil stuck in the caliper without the bleed bolt, and gave that a rinse through, then re-attached the hose underwater. Sorry for clogging up the forum with a maguras tread but i was in a rush but it's fine now! Thanks again! Razzy
  3. Ok im off to try again. Speak to y'all in a bit.
  4. Yeah i know theres loads mate and believe me i keep trying but it just won't work
  5. Hi sorry to post a topic about such a common problem, but when I am bleeding my magura in the bath and put back on the bleed bolts (underwater), when i pull the lever the pistons dont move! I bled the front brake earlier and that is fine but i have tried to bleed this rear brake about 10 times and it still won't work! I think that the problem is that I am not getting all the air out of the system but I am squeezing the lever till the bubbles stop coming out. I am confused please help! Thanks in advance and I will really appreciate it!
  6. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a neeeeeeeeeeeeewwww member!
  7. The weather in Cumbria isn't exactly the warmest or dryest weather around but it's no too bad and I'm Never usually put off riding because of bad weather. I don't mind rain, but wind can often put me off when it's really strong. Normally I just go out and ride because it's not like bad weather will harm us will it? Unless you get blown off a high drop or something of course.
  8. WRONG. Both the Onza T Comp and the Onza T Pro run an 18 tooth Tensile freewheel and a 12 tooth rear sprocket so they both have the same gearing. (You must have been thinking about the Onza T Vee/Bird). I have an Onza T Comp and personally I think it's great, however i managed to get mine brand new for £405 as soon as they came out at the end of last year before the prices rocketed. Therefore it is up to you if you can afford the T Comp and want HS-33s, drilled rims, Maxxis Creepy Crawler tyres e.t.c. Personally i think both bikes now are for sale for more than they are worth, but if you can afford the Onza T Comp, then i would certaintly recommend it as a great bike, both for a beginner and an intermediate rider. Hope i helped
  9. When my mates fall off their bikes I can't help but laugh. I must have some problem because i really don't mean to but it just happens. It's like a couple of weeks ago, me and my mates were camping. We do our usual tree cutting to get wood for the fire and guess what happens, my mate toby is screaming RUN! and a 25ft tree starts falling towards my mate Matty. He is running out of the way of it but for some stupid reason he panics and runs in a different direction towards the falling tree. He makes this incredible half fall/half dive and it looks to us like he missed the tree by an inch. Next he starts moaning and we find that a branch had just clipped his ankle and we see what looks like his leg is twisted. Thankfully it isn't and he's just in a dodgy posistion but he was in quite a bit of pain and shock and all I could do was laugh. I soon stopped however as i realised he was hurt but thankfully all he got was a major bruise and a sore ankle. I can't beleive I was laughing even though it wasn't funny, but he knows i didn't mean it. It was quite a sight anyway though and it certaintly teaches us all a lesson about cutting down trees! :$
  10. My good old paper round and christmas money got me my bike, but my main source of income was selling chocolate at school. I was making about £5 a day until some other guy selling sweets got threatened with a 3 day exclusion. I thought that i best quit while i was ahead, as i had just got enough for my bike and I couldn't be bothered with it any more.
  11. I'd go with what Jake1516 said. I have one and personally I think they are great. I think it would be a safer choice aswell as if you manage to knacker a Tensile freewheel, then you are in a much better position to replace parts and work on it. I find it very strong and sturdy however, and don't think you will ever really break one and be in a position where it needs to be replaced.
  12. Sorry mate but i just couldn't resist sigging that,-and editing it a bit Anyway on a more serious note, I'm a beginner to sidehopping and as a right footer, I find it easier to practice side-hopping to the right, mainly because I can balance better before taking off.
  13. I'm about 5ft 4" and i ride an Onza T Comp
  14. Hi guys, I just thought i'd post a picture of my first attempt with photoshop. The colours are a bit naff but i did it quickly and of course i hadnt had any experience. Anyway here it is: Before: After:
  15. Read this its Dan6061s brilliant guide to sorting out lazy pistons. If lazy pistons is your problem then this will definately help, although i will be suprised to find you have lazy pistons if you brakes are quite new. Hope this helps EDIT: I know that, but he submitted that post as i was writing my post so i didnt know.
  16. You probably have too much tar on your rim. Whenever i put on tar i try to use as little as possible because i know if i put too much on then my pads will stick. Your best bet is to try and clean the rim a bit with a rag and try to get most of the tar off and then try out your brakes. You should just find then that your pads spring back but seeing that you say your brakes are new, the problem probably wont be that you have lazy pistons.
  17. Hi mate here are my answers.... 1. C/A -Would like to see both! 2. A 3. A - I would prefer it to be based around UK events, but it would be good to see a few big international events in the magazine. 4. A 5. B - Magazine would look better with a colour image on the front cover and in my eyes, would be more attractive. 6. A - Stickers and posters are always great aswell! 7. B - About £3 would be good, I wouldnt pay more than £4 Hope i helped, and good luck with the project!
  18. Hi guys ive got Adobe Photoshop CS and ive just been playing around with it at the moment, however what i would like to know, is how do you colour parts of the bike without doing it in a solid colour to show the different light effects? I've tryed using the eyedropper tool but it will only duplicate a solid colour and at the moment i am pretty hopeless at it. Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!
  19. My mini dirt bike seems slow now after seeing these...... Only joking, It's a beast of a bike actually and its only on its second pullstart and carburretor!(hope i spelled that right). I got my mate Toby to get me some rally stickers from M-Sport in cockermouth, Cumbria which is a rally company associated with the Ford BP rally team, where he works in the summer (Brilliant mechanic for only 15!). He also has a few motorbikes, a Gas Gas, Montesa, Mini-moto trials bike and more..... Anyway here is a couple of pictures of my mini motobeast:
  20. Yes you are right Tensile do make other size freewheels, although i'm not sure where these new sizes are available but well done for spotting that!
  21. You can only get 18t Tensile Freewheels which are available from TartyBikes but if you still just want a 16t freewheel get the ACS 16t Freewheel again from TartyBikes. I would strongly recommend getting the Tensile freewheel though as it is a much stronger, higher quality freewheel and probably a tad lighter aswell.
  22. Excellent vid Jake nice one! I posted a comment aswell on you tube and i'm looking forward to seeing some more great vids of you riding just as well in the future! Keep it up lad
  23. If you feel in the future that you are acheiving a lot in trials and would like a sponsor, make a video. You can post this anywhere on the internet but maybe even try making your own website (not piczo) and post all of your acheivements, pics, videos etc on it. You will then be advertising yourself so that you will be much more likely to be picked up by a sponsor. Providing you have all your details on your site, they willl find it easy to contact you and i think more likely to sponsor you. Remember though, the more work you do to advertise yourself, the less they will have to do to sponsor you, so go that extra step further!
  24. Just thought i'd show you all the TartyBikes Xmas Card
  25. TartyBikes are the best, they even sent out christmas cards with their christmas orders!!! How cool is that, Very EDIT: Oh Al Capones just gone and said that now , Still great shop
