How much do you reckon you have spent on your bike? I only go my bike at christmas and so all i have bought for it is a ChainStay Protector and Blu Rock Pads so for me its a measly £25 Post what you've spent here!!!

GET BLUE ROCK PADS!!! Definatly get blue rock pads, they are also excellent in the wet and still make a beautiful sound when the rain is pouring . Perfect pads for this time of the year, especially with all the wet weather! They will work fine on your rim and should last you ages.

20"= I dont really know of any proffesional 20" riders but i think Joe Baxter is great, I have downloaded all of his videos and found them through TartyBikes. I really like the way he rides and its inspiring for me because hes about my age. Keep it up Joe! 26"= Martyn Ashton - because he's English , Ryan Leech - because he is just amazing and stuns me all the time doing things that I think are impossible, and then i like Chris Akrigg and Danny Holroyd!

Hi, I put my new Rock Pad Blues in yesterday and went down to ride about in a car park near mine. About 5 minutes after i got there, it started pissing it down and my brakes were absolutely awesome! I only had a light grind on my rim but the brakes were working excellently and completely locking aswell as sounding great! So basically i didnt have to wait at all for my brakes to bed in, although my rim had just been ground and so was quite clean. Maybe your rim has a bit of oil or dirt on?

The way i like to Manual is by doing this: 1) I roll across the ground at about jogging pace or sometimes slightly faster. 2) I put my bad foot forward. 3) I push hard on my pedal about 1800 so that my best foot is forward whilst throwing my top half of my body over the back wheel. 4) I keep my front wheel in the air by bending my legs as the front wheel drops down. 5) If however i start to go too far back, i straighten my knees and also very gently dap on my back brake if i need to. This is the way I like to manual, but remember that the way you find easiest to manual might be different so experiment a bit by altering these steps. When you finally get to grips with manualling, you should find it quite easy to do without taking up much energy.

Seeing as it has just been christmas and a lot of us are fairly loaded with cash, what parts are we all looking to spend our cash on for our bikes? I have just ordered some Rock Pad blues from TartyBikes and im waiting to buy myself a new ZOO! bar and Echo stem for my Onza. So what has everyone else just bought or are saving up for? The pedal hop involves three main elements: 1.) Leaning your weight back over the rear wheel, 2.) Letting off the rear brake, and 3.) Giving a short 1/8 to 1/4 turn of the pedals, then bringing your pedals back to level. All three of these movements are basically done at the same time. When practicing this move, focus on remaining in control at all times; don't exaggerate any of the moves. After doing the move you should be in the same balancing position you were in at the beginning.

Everone that i've heard talking about grinding say that they use an angle grinder, but would i be able to grind both my rims on my mates bench grinder? It has on it a normal grinding/cutting disc aswell as a wire disc. Would i just grind it with the grinding/cutting disc? The only worry i have about using it, is how acurately i would be able to grind the rim and hold it to grind etc.

I have Maxxis Creepy Crawlers on my front and back wheel and they are great! They still have a suitable amount of grip in the wet - and great grip in the dry, aswell as being a good hard compound that doesnt wear down too quickly. Overall=Great tyres for the money! And as for the Maguras, Go for it. They are great brakes and ive never had problems with them as they require very low maintenance.

Disc sizes to go for: If you are riding mod: 160mm Ifyou are riding stock:180mm/120mm

Ok thanks for the advice. I will probably need to save up a bit and buy the bar and stem first and then i think i will wait a few months for the forks. Im taking the tyre off my lower tube aswell tomorow you'll be pleased to know.

Just thought i'd post a couple of good videos i have seen on YouTube today.......... Here is a very good trials video with a bit off BMX in aswell. The music is quite good aswell i think. This looks really weird at first but is a good clip of doing motorbike trials ona a gas gas, beta, etc without a front wheel or forks!

Yeah your probably right about the tyre, if i keep it ill only scratch my bike somewhere else.................. The freewheel is already a tensile one at the front so that will stay but i will get some better pads for it, ones that will run on a smooth rim without grind and probably without tar aswell as i dont know if i should bother with tar.

Here is someone on an Onza T Pro with flourescent forks and maguras, just to give you an idea of the colour difference.

I dont really think id like to that though because then absolutely everything would be blue. Well except stem and cranks etc.
