  3. kind of.. instead of having holes they will have thinner metal where the square is so the rim should be stiffer
  4. some of these http://trials-uk.co.uk/product.aspx?productid=1407 and http://trials-uk.co.uk/product.aspx?productid=1114
  5. f**k i forgot you did that.. tbf though, that bottle bank is cursed. my mate snapped a bb off it, the bb was perfectly fine before hand.
  6. thats better whys it say total votes are 46 but theres 9 for drilled and 39 for cnc'd
  7. it weighs loads less.. which means you can have even more material... a thick piece of magnesium will be stronger than a thin piece of alluminium..
  8. i dont think you understood, magnesium weighs loads less than alluminium.. so make the rims out of magnesium but to the same weight as current rims = stupidly strong rims.
  9. im running a 32h rim on 36h hub new poll, make them out of magnesium or not? so you could have the rims weighing 700 grams (for stock...) and be stupidly strong ewwww
  10. tell dan that.. im not making them he'll probably say the same, its a lot of trouble
  11. have to remember, their his own rims... its going to be a lot or trouble to make all these different versions i reckon 38mm front rim (if its double walled) will be loverly on the back... and 48mm for the wide rim lovers i never asked about width.... only the cnc/drilling
  12. shut up, i never said that it IS pointless, i said i THINK it is. that guy said it would be perfect if it was 48mm wide, not perfect for me, so its not perfect at all hopefully dan will make a front one thats about 38mm and a rear one about 48mm. i'd just have the front then (as long as its double walled) anyway, this thread isnt about width, just whether to have them cnc'd or drilled.
  13. its my opinion, 38mm is plenty wide enough for me...
  14. personally i think 48mm wide is pointless...
  15. who in their right mind would do a big drop on a frame they know has a beast of a crack???????????????
  16. worcesters mint, not many people ride here anymore though used to be loads...
  17. me too, im in need of a back one though been looking for a while now
  18. = cracks at the corner of the holes round holes are stronger than square holes, cnc squares are even stronger
  19. according to max trumper they grind a beast and last ages and wider is gay 38mm is plenty
  20. been speaking to dan ko and he said he may do his kobike rims like the old echo 05 rims.. with the cnc'd squares he's not really convinced many people will buy them as the new trend is to have drilled rims so tell me what you'd rather have, drilled or cnc'd squares heres a pic of the cnc rims...
  21. you use them in plastic backings... and your front brake is shit
  22. who were you again? it was quite amusing...
  23. plazzies on smooth = fit just get plazzies.
