  1. Thanks for all the replies people, everyone has helped loads!! Cheers, Alex.
  2. Hi there, What is rim grinding? How does it affect pads and braking power? I am pretty clueless towards the topic and any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, alex.
  3. Yeah, I had exactly the same problem, get zoo risers from tartybikes, they will probs be much stronger than what your currently using aswell!! alex.
  4. HI BIGA1, Not sure about geometry but you can get one from supercycles.co.uk (comes with chris king head set for 299.00)
  5. I never knew v-brakes were so popular, you never see any of the top riders using them though (cls, benito ross, vincent hermance). When i get some spare cash i might give them a try. Alex.
  6. Hey johny! I have always used either avid v-brakes or shimano before upgrading to magurahs33. Have a look on www.chainreactioncycles.com at "brakes-mtb" most of them are avid and shimano, depending on how much cash you want to part with, choose one which has a good rating and you like the look of. PS Unless you are running really tight on cash at the moment, i wouldn't bother with a v-brake, just buy a single hs33, BEST BRAKE EVER!!! Hope I was of some help, alex
  7. Hi JT!, Thanks for the reply. Yeah i made a mistake.... it is a 16t rear. Doing gaps larger then a pallet board is pretty much impossible with such low gearing beacause you just can't get a strong enough kick. 2 mates of mine are riding mods (koxx and 06python) are in a much higher gear then me. It might just be that all beginner onza's have low gearing but i know for a fact that the t-pro, t-comp and so on are in higher gears as standard. A higher gear on my t-vee would help a lot, i could fit a 14t on couldn't I? I see what you mean by a 12t not fitting, possibly due to the fact that the rear freewheel will cover the sprocket so there isn't enough room for chain, yeah? there must be something I can do? What are you currently riding on your echo team? Thanks very much for the advice and quick reply, alex PS NICE BIKE
  8. Hi there, Have got an ONZA t-vee and after 8 months of riding I am finding the gearing much too low. I am using a 24tooth front and 15tooth rear sprocket, i was thinking of changing the rear to 12tooth, is this possible?, how much difference will it make? Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks, alex
