Not sure if this helps but one of my mate's found if he took off slightly diagonal and gap sideways a bit he could get a lot more distance on his gaps.

I've just snapped my first chain... 'twas a KMC. Not that old either. I was using the split-link and that's what snapped.
I've now got a new KMC, Tensile and rear sprocket... Hopefully this one will last a bit longer!

not sure if they are definately the same size,but these echo 6061's are cracking cranks for the money,lasted longer than my tensile cranks
Have you still got the original cranks? Just measure from the middle of the crank bolt to the middle of the pedal axle.

Soo i should rebled it in the bath and when im pushing water in i should pull the leaver back whilst pumping the leaver ?........Does Anyone know how much antifreeze i should mix with a bath of water ?
You're putting Anti-Freeze in your bath?! If you have a syringe, why not just do it with that? Much easier and less hassle. Perfect bleed every time.

I've had my Tensile for 10 months, only skipped a few times when the lockring was loose as well. I took it apart and serviced it, tightened it all up and it's running like a beast to this day! As was previously said...

Get used to it mate... If you accidently post a topic even slightly similar to a previous post in the last few years you will get flamed for it. Isn't the point of a forum to be able to ask questions and get sensible and helpful answers??
Plus the search brings up sooo many results even when using the advanced queries it takes about half an hour to find anything.

My Tensile skipped a few times. I took it apart, cleaned it all with White Spirit and then put it back together and lubed it up with Finish Line wet (green lid). Felt like a new freewheel after doing this!
My Tensile service guide...
I can't remember exactly which way the bearings go in, just make a note of how they come out and put them back in the same way.
- Leave it on your crank.
- Remove the lockring. I used 2 small allen keys in a vice so they line up with the holes on the lockring. Push on freewheel and unscrew.
- Remove the 3 (i think) spacer rings.
- Lift off the outer bit (with the sprocket and ratchet on).
- Now you can remove the pawls and springs (note which way they go in, so u put them back right).
- Clean everything with White Spirit or similar.
- Check for any damaged parts (mine has been fine for 10 months so far)
- Put all the pawls and springs back in (check they push in and spring out OK).
- Now the hard bit... I wrap a bit of cotton round the pawls to pull them all in... then push on the ratchet bit while twisting as to keep the pawls pushed in. Make sure you put in on the right way up
- Once that's back on... you should be able to twist it round and see all the pawls engaging (looks very cool).
- Put in some lube if desired and then put the 3 spacers back on top.
- Screw the lockring up as tight as you can without rounding the little holes on the lockring.
- Give it a twist, it should feel sturdy and sound like a beast.

I ride a 26" mod and would love to swap my frame for a standard spacing stock and get a proper rear hub and ditch my freewheel. So much hassle setting up snail cams.
I was also thinking how much more it must wear your chain running a front freewheel... as whenever you are coasting, your chain is whizzing round. Where as on a rear hub, it stays still.
One more point is that front freewheels munch your trousers if you're not careful! I've been completely emobilised before by getting my trousers proper cogged up in the freewheel. It felt like either the freewheel was gonna explode or the chain was gonna snap! It didn't sound good!
I run a Tensile at the moment. I highly recommend it! Not only is it affordable, it's only skipped on me a few times in the year I've had it. Just a stip-down and re-lube every few months to keep everything ship-shape. But I'd much sooner have a Pro2!

My mate bought the T-Rex spec 1... it would have been alot cheaper for him to save up and build a better setup. The parts that came with it all needed replacing within 6 months. All that are left on it now are the tough guy forks and the frame!
A quality frame and if you're on a budget it's a damn good deal nether-the-less

Yeah I do have two ISIS tools but neither fit the echo as part of the axel is too fat.
I've ordered one from tarty so that should do the job, my LBS only have the ones I already have (park tool and shimano).
I ordered my Truvativ BB and Tool sererately from Tarty. It uses the Shimano XTR tool... but little did I know that the normal tool wouldn't fit over my axle! I phoned up Tarty and they have had some especially machined to fit over... so if in doubt, give them a ring to gaurantee it'll fit

Im running 18:16 on my 116mm spacing Echo Control. Feels really nice for everything... considering trying out 18:15 though just for some extra beef.
