I'm not, not buying tyres for the fun of it, i'm not buying because i can't afford them at the moment, what on earth makes them think fining people that much will help, if i can't afford 35 quid a tyre how will i afford 2500. Police are so so so silly.

also if companies knew customers wouldcome to them as a protest...they may even hike prices themselves. could happen. eitherway, the big compaines do not loose out. they still fuel your car that you insist on driving for fun, then complaining about it costing lots. shit happens.

forget the custom frames if you are out to make cash..just make people happy.
the amount of time spent on leeson, trition ti frames etc is silly to the extent that they cannot be making much money.
mass produced ***. just make sure you have the design dialled first as you don't want 100's of duff frames.
also consider shipping, packaging, storage costs etc. well i am sure you have anyway.

haha you have no chance in changing that. just sell more boxed bikes..makes life so much easier for yourself.
there are more customers to deal with too..but the customers are retarded so its hard work. no offence to anyone that actually buys bike stuff from halfords...but seriously if you know anything about bikes at all then you would shop at a proper bike shop.
could be worse though. at least you are working with bikes.

do not worry a second longer. some people on the bike departments have never had any experience with bikes, let alone ridden trials and been on a cycle related forum.
the pdi of halfords is more of a safety check to ensure they do not get it in the neck..quality is ignored to a certain extent in comparision to other bike shops. so yeh all the 'mechanics' do on new bikes is work through a safety checklist. also from my experience repairs take a backseat but is mostly first free servvice and punctures.

lol. they still win though surely, because of the exclusivity of apple prices from the apple store; the margins must be pretty good. so they are possibly only giving away $30 of 'technology product'..yet i am sure a terms and conditions will be issued that permits the $100 store credit on purchases over $200 or something...so if they do that i doubt apple will have lost a single penny, or cent..

that is all this one does. hence new ipod thread. the touch screen ipods only come with a max of 16gb capacity..which is ok for music and a few vids at most. as someone said...it would be wise to wait till the prices drop...which will probably be when the iphones are in the uk.
as for what happened to ipods only playing music? thats a silly comment because things evolve.
you would be pretty bored if you got in your car and had no radio for example.
integration is the way forward with everything. plus they can delve into several markets with one single product.
admittedly though, some things just get daft in the types of integration that manufactures attempt; like making a bottle opener watch or something..but it works..transforming a crap product into something you need because now, it has a bottle opener on too. similarly, how many devoted ipod fans will now buy an iphone even though they have an ipod? lots.

i disagree too. its simple to use..and as apple say if you can use an ipod then you can use a mac.
its a shame you cant get discount on ipods through the education store..

as for comfort on road...thats not true once you are doing higher mileage. gearing is also different.
as pointed out, if you can afford it get a set of 700c rims on mtb hubs or get some mavic speedcity wheels. is expensive though adding up the price of disc rotors, cassette etc.

just because its a discount doesnt mean its worth it. 15% is minute for halfords staff. grab a summer sale bike from any other bike shop for 30%+ off.
