    Crazy Tall Bloke!

Yea, looks quite good, but it's clearly fake.

    Disk Rubs

Hydraulic yes? There is no "adjuster". Dude, just undo the bolts that connect the caliper to the forks, keep your brake pressed, do up the bolts and hey presto its done (not very well but its good enough usually), if you want it perfect your need to get the mounts faced.
  3. Try putting come coke can around your allen key, push the b*****d in TIGHT and give it a go. Or you could loctite the allen key as said previously, don't forget to buy some new crankbolts.
  4. Yeah, I've had the same problem with my front hope, it is actually caused by a sticky piston even if it doesn;t really feel like it. What I did was take the wheel out, squeeze the lever so that the sides of the pistons are showing, take the brake pads out, squirt the outer part pf the cylindrical pistons on either side with some WD40, use a screw driver to pry them open again and repeat a few times. That worked for me both times just be careful to wipe your caliper after as for some reason no matter how careful you are, oil seems to be desperate to infect your pads and cripple their performance .
  5. Yeah, I'll reccomend the Truvativ BB aswell, I've had it on my XC/freeride bike for a little while, seems smooth, sturdy, it could be lighter but when you're talking about +/-50g it really doesn't make much difference. P.S: Cheaper and lighter than the SKF BB.

    Video Cameras

I use a Sanyo Xacti CA6, it has AWESOME quality, it's in your price range and it's piss easy to transfer the videos on to your computer because it runs on SD cards. 6 megapixels, plus it's a tiny little bugger that will fit into your pocket (unless you wear gay tight jeans). So yeah, I like it, it's weather proof (good for scotland ) and with 6MP you can't go wrong. Amazon link.
  7. Yeah, basically bleed your brakes properly and it'll be fine. Have a look around in the FAQ if you want a guide to bleed your brakes.
  8. No. Proportionately to their price, creepy crawlers are better IMO.
  9. A mono mini will never be as good as a mono trial obviously, and although hope brakes are damn good usually, the mono mini is a brakes destined for XC use, therefore has better modulation capacities than anything else. You can pick up a monotrial at tartybikes (they only do the '07 ones) if you're feeling rich or you can get one on Ebay, chainreactioncycles, etc juste have a look around. Alternativeley if they're out of your price range you can go for an avid BB7, they're supposed to be damn good for a mechanical brake.
  10. You all live in england, doesn't really get cold there. In france, our brakes freeze in winter .
  11. Forget that X0 bullshit, too expensive. If you really want to get sram I suggest you go for summat like the X9 or what not, the deore XT is a nice peice of kit aswell as the XTR but then again, the XTR is expensive aswell and I don't think you really want to risk bustin' up an expensive rear mech to be honest so I'd reccomend that only for XC.
  12. It's always a good idea to invest in some decent rear brake pads if it isn't already equipped with some, because as you'll find out, when you're beginning, you tend to rely more on the brake than necessary especially when learning to hop around on your back wheel. There's a whole bunch of trials adapted magura brake blocks which will hopefully stop you in times of need. As for the "pedal flick" don't sweat it, it's a lot easier than it appears at first! In a few days of practice you'll be moving forwards nicely just don't forget to release the brake when you "flick" the pedals.
  13. Johnson's baby oil, water, alcohol, etc... Any mineral oil will do you, for a snappier lever feel just fill your brake with lighter oil and it'll be reet. Water owns though but it does freeze, even with a bit of anti-freeze in it so beware.
  14. The try-alls are absolutely amazing grip wise, but yeah they're expensive and wear quite fast. So basically if you've got the £££ then get them 'cause they know how to grip!
  15. Bleed it and check the hose for leaks and make sure the hosing is correctly attached.
  16. Your space button working fine? Anyway, yeah try-all make good rims Ive found, just maybe the braking surface is a bit cheesy but other than that it's all good, sorry don;t know much about viz.
  17. FACT: Try-all tyres have the most grip, natty or street...the downside is that they cost an arm and a leg and don't seem to last long! Maxxis creepy crawlers are shit hot too to be honest, everyone knows that maxxis have a good rep when it comes to tyres, they're pretty cheap aswell so they're probably your best bet especially seeing as they'll last you a bit. Just do me a favour and stay away from Onza sticky fingers...
  18. Oldskool '04 ZOO! pitbull.
  19. Shit happens, at least you didnt pay £100 for your front brake and then have it break! BB7s are cheap so don't complain . Mike Singleton has broken quite a few I believe...
  20. Look, tyre pressures vary between every rider because of different weights, preferences, etc... Just for info, I pump my tyres up hard enough so that I don't rim out everywhere and dont feel the rim against the ground when jumping off small drops.
