Would a 74kingz not be an option ?
-
The last thing i bought off here i was un happy with, was a bottom bracket that was 5mm shorter than he said it was. Genuine mistake, and it happens. Other than that, and a set of bars a few years ago that never turned up (which i did eventually get a refund for..) I've been happy with everything I've bought of here.
You can normally tell who you should and shouldn't buy from, based on there feedback and posts on here.
Was the lever bent when it was sent, or is there a chance it happened in the post?
Edit: This is from the topic..
So the XTR lever you want is number 2 (and it's the £5 one) because that's all that is available. And as you can see from the image it looks a lot worse condition than the picture you've just posted. I don't need to tell you that really, it's clear to see. It's packed and ready to send but because you don't seem to know what you are buying I'm not going to send it out yet because the last thing I want is for you to receive it and moan about the condition. Look at the picture and know exactly what you're getting. Pm me, if you want your money back, tell me asap so I can stick it back up for sale.

Watched a few films recently, some of them good, others not so much haha...
Warrior was pretty good, very obvious plot but with some decent acting, and a good ending.
Decided to watch the first Sherlock Holmes film the other day seeing as the new ones out, and I'd quite like to watch it. It was pretty awesome,
actually. It's what i'd imagine pirates of the Caribbean to look like if there was no water.
Inception was good, hard to follow and very confusing at times but the cast was brilliant, and the filming was sick...
Shutter island was a huge disappointment, my fiancé's been nagging me for months to watch it so we finally sat down to watch it, and
i just really didn't enjoy it. The twist is very clever, if not slightly predictable. Not the worst film I've ever watched, but far from the best.
Got a few more(The Mechanice, Killer elite, 127 Hours, and Source code) to watch over the weekend, So I'll report back on monday haha.

I could possibly do thursday, depending on the post man. If not, I'm free all next week
-
Don't think I'll be able to make this one, but i'll tag along next weekend if any ones out
-
I'm about 20 minutes from sheffield, drop me a pm if you fancy a ride anytime

Just a quick update, changed a few bits and bobs over the past couple of weeks.
- New bars
- New grips
- New(ish) brakes
- New chain
- New tensioner
- New pads
- New bell
Spec is:
2006 Echo control frame
Echo forks
Monty Stem
Simtra bars
Trialtech cranks
Outland loc-ons
Front Echo tr with some odd green pads
Rear Echo tr lever on magura pistons with Plaz pads
Pro II on try-all rim
Gusset pedals
Shimano BB/Random headset
Still need to sort a few things out like the tensioner, needs some brake mounts for the front, and a new front wheel.. Also plan on stripping the gold tr lever to silver at some point and getting a bash ring!
For now though, I'm happy

I ran maguras for years, and they were great, more often than not. I've got a pair of Tr rim brakes on now ( One of the older style ones, and one of the newer ones..) And I love them. Levers much more comfortable than the magura ones, and looks better in my opinions.
Performance wise I can't really say that I notice much of a difference between the two, however theirs the option to water bleed a magura which gives it a better feel, in my opinion. Where as the Tr brakes supposedly leak (My fronts water bled, and haven't had any major problems with it so far but I've only had it for a short time)...
They both have there good and bad points, really. I love the Tr's and would probably never go back to a magura, unless they start to fail in some way.
However, maguras aren't the main brake of choice for no reason.
Just a shame about the design for the Hs33
Either way, good luck

The fittings throughout are standard M6 Magura-style fittings, just so you know
EDIT: Also, 'fittings' is a weird word if you look at it too often.
I had a feeling they were, thanks!
It would help if I hadn't used the word 10000000 times in 4 sentences, but you're right; It does!

After some cheap braided hose for my echo TR rim brakes. Just wondering where's the best place to go?
Also, are the fitments any different to the ones on maguras? And is there any known problems fitting it to the TR brakes?
Thanks.

I'm about 20 minutes or so on the train away Aiming to get out on the bike more next year, so I'll tag along for a few rides
-
They look almost identical to some that i was bidding on ebay for about 3 weeks ago. They were being sold for spares and repairs because they'd been sat in a garage for years.
Might not be the same ones, but look very similar..
If they're all good, £10's a bargain

When I posted the original topic, the only page that i could get was the suspended page.
How do you expect me to most a link to a working version, if it's not working?
Either way it's back up not, can be closed.
Thanks guys

Black mumba?
Essentially an 04 python copy..
Edit: Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like the exact same bike...?

Anyone know whats going on? Just wondering if it's a temporary thing or if they're out of business.
I havn't really been paying much attention the the trials scene for the last 18 months or so, but when I went on the other day the site was up; a little out dated but working.
Forgive me if it's been posted before, did a search but nothing came up...

I'll probably go.
Anyone going from Huddersfield station?
Edit: Or sheffield..?
-
Yeah in fairness you did warn me
Meh, They'll do for the time being.
-
Nice lad! First stock? Thought you were exclusively mod lol.
Don't suppose you fancy a brakeless spinny bike?
Second. Had a czar but didn't really get on with it. Then i quit.
I was, but just fancied a change. I probably won't keep it long to be honest haha...
No thanks, But I'll have that front wheel off it ...
That stem is 120*17 perfect just need bars!!! Looks good!! Decent spec bro!!!
Going to have to acquire some better bars, these are just terrible haha.
Specs not bad actually, especially considering it's cost me next to nothing lol..
-
They were just something to get me going, front end feels awful.
Any bar/stem combo suggestions?
-
Decided to get another bike. Shes far from finished, and half of the bits on here aren't staying; just fancied having a quick go.
Needs a f**king good clean too.
Spec is:
2006 Echo control
Shimano Un54 (?) bottom bracket.
Cheapy headset
Echo Urban forks, four bolt and disc
Monty stem
Zoo! Bars (Which feel awful..)
Random front wheel, for the time being.
Trialtech cranks with onza screw on sprocket.
Gusset slim jim pedals
Echo tr Lever with magura cylinders
Some random green pads which i've managed to eat in less than an hour; Soon to be replaced with some plaz pads.
Rear Pro II built onto a try-all rim with trialtech 14t sprocket.
You'll have to excuse the pictures, cameras not working so they're from my phone
Anyway:

I think it's just personal preference, really. However I've always found allen key bolts are better, my pro II bolts have never given me any trouble. Having said that if either are slipping in your dropouts i can't help but think maybe you're not doing them up tight enough.
What frame/rear hub have you got?

They've been discontinued for a while now, I think.
They're not the most aesthetically pleasing tensioners, but they do the job brilliantly and theirs often a few in the for sale section
The spoke tensioners aren't hard to make at all, it's just trial and error really.
