Making a man cave to make things in

made a start, about to insulate the floor then lay ply over the top. I have a couple of choices...

    1.

    2.

seems that ideally you lay brick across the joists (2) but that leaves a lot of unsupported edges. (1) leaves no unsupported edges but...

Im leaning towards (1) because the doubled up beams are all supported at half lengths underneath and I want to lay maybe some more parquet on top

    any thoughts ?

Personally Id stagger my boards (2) and add extra noggins in along the joining edges.

  2. Try Allens Bodyshop in Newhall, Swadlincote if you class yourself close enough, - I know people that have used him and said he will basically tailor the finish to your budget - So if your not that fussy it could be worth a shout :)

To clarify, I was defending the Vader. Your 24" SL with dual Spank/Conti/Disc is still my favourite looking bike ever. The Vader was still pretty nice looking in a similar way, I just think the top-tube could've come a bit higher to meet the saddle instead of the seat-tube extension. Wouldn't be an obstruction since it would still be lower than the saddle.
I liked the Vader. The Jitsie is pig ugly.

    This.

Might be worth measuring where the hub is going to sit when you get your ideal gear ratio, then go from there?  If it's going to end up sitting further back, having the hole bottom right might not be ideal.  If you have to wind a lot of cam on then you'll have to run the cam with the larger section hanging on the underside of the dropout which makes it a little more prone to getting hit.

I was actually thinking this not long ago. If i'm lucky I could run with no tensioners  B).

    Thanks Mark.

  5. Easy Lads,

Looking for abit of advise, I wanna drill some holes in the below for snail cam grubs, Where does everyone think would be best? I'm thinking bottom right corner of the dropout?

    Thanks

Is this the first order you've placed with them?

I used to work for an online bike shop and any first time order from a foreign country worth over £100 we would ask them to confirm some details to prevent fraudulent transactions

It was - seems that is there protocol however its not very well explained. the language barrier has now resulted in the order been cancelled and me waiting on a refund <_<

That's a bummer. Hope it's an easy fix.

My day was much better than that thankfully, I gave the Alfa a send off drive over Black Mountain pass. Putting it up for sale very soon, probably against my better judgement considering how excellent it has been.
