  1. thanks for the reply's i'll really give it a go this week
  2. also having the problem that my ankles are bashing up against the magura's every time i whip my back wheel around
  3. had my onza t-pro now for 2 days (yay go me!) and been on it for like 4-5 hours so far. i have been trying to do that half-wheelie where i go up and then pull my brake except i go up.. fine, pull on the brakes, and i find myself and my bike falling back to the ground again, i release the brakes like trashzen says but to no prevail, i decided too quickly film myself just in case. half wheelie any help will be greatly appreciated, am i doing something terribly wrong or is it just down to practice? -jayza
  4. yes, arrived a while ago, the bike came without the handlebar attached nor pedals and as i am a noobie at trials i had no idea how to fit it together so had to take it up to my local shop (bit of a let down) though the bike did come with some tensile cranks and some new BB's which would of cost £150 yet i got them for £50. Problem i am having is, i was able to balance really well on my XC yet i gotta start all over again it seems then i am going to try and progress onto a Back-Hop, had a few attempts at Pedal Hop yet i get my front wheel up but as soon as i pull on the brake i just fall down again, not too sure what i am doing wrong but i'm sure it'll come in time. Don't have any friends who do it either so i'm all alone (poor me, i need a hug!)
  5. just bought it, cant wait for it to arrive, my first trials bike oooo! will hopefully get it by friday as i have a day off
  6. managed to find a site that sell 06' t-pro do you think the site loks ok? if so.. should i go for this as a starter? lol forgot to give you the site link T-Pro
  7. i have Trek in Blue & Blue and they are great!
  8. about £550 - £650 ( can stretch budget a bit)
  9. i dont do XC, just that XC bikes are hybridd where as trials bike are trials bikes and i would get a onza yet i just cannot stand they way they look, nad there is no where near me that does spray paint and also a good bike in theory should last longer.. right?

  11. i have but it still seems to end up at the same price... roughtly with the HS33's and a fork + tyres the price some how rockets, and a rear hub isn't cheap either!
  12. Ok so basically i am new to the whole trials bike scene and have been browsing various websites and forums trying to get good knowledge on what bike to get. i have the money and i really want the Echo Lite in Black i know it is alot to buy that bike for a starter except i might be getting sacked soon from my job so it is my last few pay checks so i wanna get the best bike i can as i might not come into a large amount of money for a while! only problem is mum is saying it is silly to spend that much because i can get cheaper ones and i mgith not like it (yet i have been into trial's riding for several years even if it means i dont actaully have a trials bike due to doing XC more) so basically i need some good reasons! help please! thanks in advance jamie
  13. "hs33 are indeed hydraulic - the spec seems to be the 05 / 06 t-pro spec which is more like the 07 t-comp spec than the 07 t-pro spec" wouldnt i need to get new brakes as apparently v-brakes arnt that good for trials
  14. so is that good or bad? and also, HS33 or Hydraulic only and not V-brake.. right?
  15. so why does it cost the same price?
  16. was on supercycles.co.uk and they had for saleT-Comp Pro Spec could someone just tell me the difference, if there is any between this one and an ordinary T-Comp thanks in advance jayy_
  17. ok so basically i am going to buy the onza t-comp 07 yet tarty are out of stock till mid-may which to be honest i dont wanna wait until! (which is a dissapointment as tarty are the only store i have looked at) are there any other wbsites reccommened? selectbikes.com dont sell trials bikes thanks -jayz
  18. just seen T Comp on ebay and was wondering whether it is worth spending a tad more on this instead of a T-Pro?
  19. for a beginner which type of bike do i want to get? a mod or a stock? if a mod: which one? if a stock: which one? mod - t-mag? / t-pro? stock - onza t-rex? thanks in advance jayz_
  20. i was gonna make an offer, just, wondering if i should go for 2nd hand-bike or stick with a new one..?
  21. ok, so i was looking on ebay for a 2nd hand-bike, yet the only bike i could find was onza t-rex eBay what do you think i should i specifically look for a 2nd hand bike?
  22. ye, i have decided to go for the Onza T-Rex Spec1 and purchase some Plazmantic CRM's brake pads, if i still like the sport and improve it abit after say a year and half or so or when i see fit to pruchase another bike, i will buy a more expensive one then thanks for all your advice really helped me alot just cant wait to order it -jayz
  23. but what do you think of the bike 1. will all parts be compatible 2. will all that black make it looks ghey? 3. what are your opinion's on the adament a1 lol just realised that the price is steadily rising
  24. I've build one on tartybikes.co.uk, just over £900, coming nearer to £1000 actually, as by the time i will be able to afford it - June'ish, it'll almost be my birthday, so hopefully i will be able to get some more money by then this is how it goes: Frame: Adament A1 07' (Short (would love an explanation on what short or long means in terms of a frame)) - Cost: £299 Forks: Onza TuffGuy - Cost: £39 Headset: FSA Pig - Cost: £17 Stem: FSA OS - Cost: £23 Handlebars: GU Flat Bar - Cost: £30 Front Wheel: Revell Front rim with DMR Revolver hub - Cost: £50 Rear Wheel: Alex DX-32 rim with Hope XC rear hub - Cost: £100 Spokes: 2x Saphim Race 26" - Cost: £30 Tyres: Maxxis Minion (Front & Rear) - Cost: £40 Bottom Bracket: Truvativ Gigapipe - Cost :35 Cranks: Echo Forged - Cost: £52 Pedals: DMR V8 (i thought the Onza VP looked kinda brutal as as i am a newbie i will be smashing the pedals against my shins alot ) - Cost: £21 Backguard: Adamant - Cost: £20 Front Sprocket: Echo Screw-On - Cost £17 Brakes: Magura HS33's - Cost: £125 Brake Pads: 2x Plazmatic CRM's - Cost: £34 Chain: KMC Kool - Cost: £12 Derailleurs: Onza Trial's Mech - Cost: £18 Shipping: £5 Getting tartybikes.co.uk to build the bike: around £20 to £30 i hope! Total: £1005 max Tell me what you think, if there are any bits which arn't compatible and i'll take another look. thanks in advance -jamie btw- on some products ie. the sprockets, next to it, it has a little drop down menu with 13T on, other products have this sort of option, could you just tell me what that means?)
