not trying to be funny but hasn't 'alley rat' posted useless replies, used offensive language and just generally annoyed everyone?
and also his gender is not set, could mean his err a tranny?
haha only kidding

Hi
I've just bought 2 pairs of green Rock pads
yeah theyr meant to be similar compound to zoo! pads.
aparently any pads designed for a smooth rim won't in the wet
grinds are good, people who like sharp grinds have rims that last more than a year...
let alone if they ground it once every 6 months.

maybe he has grown up?
maybe he's decided to be nice?
maybe he just wants to promote his business (or whatever it is)
BAN HIM
-
there really is no point in having koolstops.
if you want your brakes to work in wet get a grind and suitable pads.
if you dont want grind and dont ride in wet get zoo! pads.
whatever you do, you just need to spend about £18 for each brake
-
time for your bedtime, buddy
grow up.
-
yeah we've riden with matt burrows before...
me and tris (afroman) ride all the time but we never seem to see anyone out anymore
-
zoo! pads, no need to grind...
if you were to get a grind, get a light/medium grind and get plazzies. theyre amazing.
if i was you, dont trust tar.
-
i only ever ride with 2 other people (afroman and someone not on the forum)
lol i said that i ride with you...
talk on msn, better than using all the bandwidth!!!
-
just wondering if there are any riders who ride worcester or nearby...
i only ever ride with 2 other people (afroman and someone not on the forum)
would be nice to meet new riders
cheers
-
echo make tires?
EDIT: ahh sorry, me being stupid...
-
those pics are really nice...
nice riding too
-
i use a grind and plazmatic CRM's
amazing brake setup...
wouldnt change it.
use the search function to find out about grinds...
if you want to use smooth rims (probably best for someone not wanting to grind their rim) zoo! pads are meant to be some of the best
-
I think a bb7 would be best, with a disc a bent wheel wont rub against the pads while a hs33 would, discs are harder to hit than your wheel, the stopping power of a hs33 will perhaps be better with the right pads but i find alot more can go wrong with these.
except when you bend it...
i always thought a disc would provide better power, maybe why many top riders use them?
and by the way no i wont shut up
-
you even said today that alley rat was talking poop
EDIT: this is way off topic.
-
people who have lots of money for new forks every five mins use 203.
and money for a new full face helmet every 5 mins...
-
Thats rich coming from ye boy. I think hes the coolest person ever grant, leave him alone, give the guy a chance. well for the 5th or 6th time anyway.
i never say i know exactly whats right to use , he says that cranks that can take 15ft drops doing down hill will be fine for trials...
point proven?
-
you seem to ride err pretty heavily...
as said before, ride more relaxed, i used to ride like that when i first started riding, and i found that having your arms straight was awkward...
maybe try bringing the bike more towards you when on the back wheel? feels so much nicer.
i found that most of the video was mostly of you bouncing around and well this made me lose interest quickly.
just cut out most of the bouncing and it will look much better, and add more stuff in unless you want a short vid
hope you dont take this post in a bad way because it was constructive criticism

bulli rayner and dont giv mi no crap about mi spellig
is that meant to say 'bulli rayner and dont give my no crap about my spelling'?!?!
that really doesnt make sense
edit: sorry, off topic
-
generally because of the smaller wheels 20" bikes brakes work better (leverage of the wheel? )
so i'd say a 160mm bb7 would be plenty powerfull enough, i have never riden this setup so i wouldnt know for sure
-
i have a 180mm hope mini and my forks are fine
yes but bb7's are aparently more on/off than a hope trial
-
pisspot helmets are good because they can be hit over and over again without needing to be placed.
their cheap.
they cover the vast majority of you head
they dont have many ventilation holes in them so you generally get hot quicker.
their also heavier.
alot of riders use a xc style helmet as their light and keep ur head cool
i always found their much more adustable than pisspot helmets.
but your meant to replace your helmet if you hit/knock it.
i have a cheapish xc style helmet because i think it looks better than a pisspot and it wont cost much to replace.
it doesnt really matter what helmet you get, as long as it fits and protects you head
-
on topic: for the front i would recommend a 180mm BB7 as they have ferocious stopping power!203mm BB7.
holy hell. bye bye forks
-
I'm sure you'll like each other if you went for a ride.
not if he kept banging on about that he knows exactly what trials riders need to use
-
My mate destroyed the bearing in the first ride.
50 ft drops?!?!
lol
