I drove to Scotland with a rubber duck.

The arm is sprung, the cylinder is not.
Incorrectly bled.

LOLS is back up for sale.
I've asked the question, I'd buy that car back in a heart beat.
-
I'd rather die than drive an Astra that didn't have a digital dash.
-
That only applies to Tag's.justsalesmanthings
Because you have to be a sales wanker to have one.
*usually bought on interest free.

So happy with it!
First thing I did yesterday was take it to my local jewlers to have the movement inspected and authenticity confirmed, which all went perfectly. Then I had it resealed and the casing polished.
I'm loving the size, I compared it to one of my salesmen's Planet Ocean and it's just a much more tactile watch. I had a few nice comments down the pub last night too.

MX5 is a 1.5 SE-L, my black 2.0 Sport is landing on Monday. I just whizzed this through the workshop ASAP so I had a car for the weekend.
Not 100% sure what I will go with car wise next, got a lot on first so cars kind of falls to the side a bit.

I has MX5.
It's good.
Golf is sold, buying a Caterham/Locost type thing in the new year for track only.

I had admitted I was wrong and everyone had seemed to come to knowledge of the correct order of proceedings.
But thanks for making doubly sure everyone knew I was wrong in the first instance...
Thanks Tic.

Do you think you could tell if it was a good fake? (Genuinely curious, as if it is and you don't know - you still have an omega?)
I would think it is hard to tell something like this from a very good fake, because it isn't something ,any people would have seen. I imagine the movement will be immediately distinguishable from a fake though.
Nice that is Jarhead, my dad owns a really nice 1956 Omega seamaster with original papers and box which is pretty bad ass aswell as a few others that aren't quite as old. Strangely enough my dad has a lot of success buying from Greece for some reason?
Thanks man.
I would love a speedmaster that early, maybe I will look at buying from Greece?
Any chance you can get some pictures? I'd like to see something that early in detail.

Haha, I hope it isn't fake

"Tachymetre", lol.
The real ones say that too haha.

I bought my first Omega this morning.
I've got to wait a couple of weeks to get it serviced before gets sent to me. But I think I'm going to be pleased with it.
I spent about an hour in Goldsmiths yesterday after months of looking at an Omega Planet Ocean, but having tried it on and worn it for half an hour I just felt like it was too big.
I did a bit of research and found that they made a Japanese market only Speedmaster which came with a 39mm case, and because it is 20 years old will be coming into "collectable" status.
A bit of googling further and I found they sell for about $2000 private, but are very few and far between.
I was over the moon (no pun intended) when I searched for the product code on eBay to see if I could find any original sales literature on them, and Japanese eBay turned up with one for just 97384.44 Japanese Yen (£500) with a day left on the auction. Put the bid in and went to sleep.
I woke up this morning to find I had won an absolute minter with all original sales literature for 178631.40 Japanese Yen (£917).
I phoned a friend of mine to ask if he thought I should let them service it before they sent it out or if I should ask him to do it; due to parts availability he suggest I have it serviced in Japan. Then he offered me £1500 for it if I wanted to sell it on and make a bit of money quickly, which I declined.
Just cannot wait to get it now!
Also I had an awesome two weeks off with my holiday wife, spent a weekend in Scotland shooting, went to the beach loads, walked the dog. Just loving it.
All is good in Jardo land

No.
A 182 Trophy in standard form is considerably faster than the equivalent non trophy car.
The Sachs dampers and the sensible ride height are what make them so good in the real world.
On a decent A or B road a Trophy is 10x the car a genetically modified 182 is.

The colour doesn't do it for me. Also the ride height is ridiculous and I like a car fairly low, and if you were to buy coilovers you're pretty much negating the point of buying a trophy (come with special sexy ass sachs dampeners) which cost £1500 to refurb which you have to do fairly frequently iirc.
They also come with the recaro trendline seats which aren't comfy or supportive at all despite looking it.They also don't come with xenons which you think it would being the top of the range clio sport.
They're also really expensive.
However.
In the hands of a competent driver, they are unbelievably fast.

You need less product in your hair.
Yeah, I know. Thanks, I did wonder if it was a bit much, glad somebody said. I thought I looked like a dick, but glad somebody agrees!

Your cat had more of a beard before you got rid, don't kid yourself.
So does yo mama.
-
About five minutes before I shaved it off.
I've had a beard for nearly two years now.
I look like a child without any form of facial hair.
Facial joke.
-
Not angry, more annoyed. I've made a mistake.
I shaved my beard off. And now the dog's got more of a beard than me, and I don't feel very manly.

Sad times is Stephanie having a curve in her lower spine which means she can't rock out all the way through a gig any more. She put herself in hospital for a week at the Eminem gig a while back because she couldn't walk from going crazy. So we had to be seated
I would love to see Royal Blood live again, but not in a stadium. I'd love to see them playing a much smaller venue.
