Thats a shame, I dont think i could ever sell my current frame (06KonaStuff). It's like my first jump bike and ive had it almost two years now and its still going strong. I'll try and find some pics, problem is i dont know if i have any on my laptop.

Hey do any of you guys ride Dirt, Downhill/ free ride aswell as trials? I'm primarily a dirt jumper, but i also ride trials to keep my handling skills sharp. It also helps when we go session northshore... Also if anyone ever wants to go for a sesh at chicks/woburn, give us a shout

Yeh same, only my seat is some ugly union jack one. Looks chavy but im n ot bothering to get a new one seen as im trying to sell the bike!

yeh to kick forwards, you need to release the brake, crank forward, then put it back on. Also if your backhopping, try to not hop back everyhop. try to stay on the spot if that makes sense, then its easier to start moving forward.

yeh dont be scared to let the front wheel drop quite a bit, it gives you more momentum moving forward. Good Video though.

I struggle with tyre pressure quite a bit. I like to have them soft for grip and "pump", but because i ride my low geared bike a long way to ride, and i like to spin a bit, i tend to have my tyre quite hard in comparison with other riders. Its definately up to the individual riders... but i wouldnt recommend going for a real low pressure "<15 PSI" when just starting out as it will be quite a challenge. Have fun trying to find a pressure that suits.

The dude wants an XC bike, not a jump bike. Have you looked at the specialised hardtails?

Recently i came into possesion of a 2nd hand blackberry pearl. No i didnt steal it it was given to me... But anyway, its locked to O2 and im on contract with Orange, so i took it to a random dodgy phone shop where i was told it would be £35 to unlock!!! I dont know if this is like an average/good/rip off price... Wonder if anyone has any knowledge.. Thanks

Just keep going man. You have to get it one day. I definately wouldn't recomend trying to go left if your natural side is right.

yeh i agree, i wouldnt use a p2 for trials, would be way to heavy and uncontrolable. i started on a 20", was quite heavy but allowed me to get the basics down with ease. of course the more money you have the lighter the bike you'll be able to have. but yeh, p2

yeh i'd say the wheels are probably not the right sort for trials at all. If it was for dirt, then good combo, but their way to heavy for trials... gd luck

I think the bike would be fine. My mate has an STP, not the rigid one, but yeh, he does basic trials on it. Also you'll just adapt to the bike, for example i have a cheap mod, learnt kick hops on it, and can now do it on any bike with a decent gear. But anyways, yeah the STP looks good, and youre parents should let you have it. Hope i sounded supportive. Connor

I remember dropping my forks out once, and then the bottom cup and bearings fell all out on the floor. Yeh, those were the days, the bearing cage had snapped and god knows what happen to the bottom cup. But then i bought an FSA PIG DH beast and its worked for ages. I know this hasnt really helped, But i thought i'd share my little story.

i got the 19" monty wheel off tarty with an acs freewheel, still going strong.
